Woke……I forget what that means. I’ll google it.
These are the same two “leaders” that everyone would be applauding if it was a roaring success.
The result is not what any of us were hoping for, but they understand more about the permeability now, and hopefully the only issue to overcome (main issue) is operational.
They didn’t control the drilling of the well. And they didn’t control the completion of the well.
Bit harsh to continue to blame, but “mobs” love/need a scapegoat.
At the very least there should be more understanding of the geology to help in the coming months.
If permeability is good (which it seems so), porosity is good, hydrocarbons are plentiful (vuggy - from previous RNS) then the other key variable is pressure (IMO) which is unknown.
Hopefully they can handle any pressure issue with nitrogen lifts or injected water……..but who knows……and it could be fine.
Pretty sure I also heard that they want it to take as long as possible - as if it ends quickly they haven’t been able to get flow.
Well tests are expensive - so if it doesn’t work you don’t keep going any longer than is necessary (I assume).
I appreciate though that the time could be taken trying various methods to get the well to perform.
The constant drag on the SP doesn’t look, or feel, great but I have seen this happen before only for a successful result.
If the well test isn’t successful they’ll struggle to retain much credibility after all the positive commentary following the drilling.
Looking back over my notes - and I was told (by Stephen) that the EWT could take 8 weeks. So we aren’t there yet anyway.
