*doesn’t
“For the flow rates at WN it has to be in the 4 figures“, it does ultimately - however they are testing a vertical well and did say that a horizontal well would likely yield up to 10x that of a vertical well in a carbonate reservoir (no idea why - but Steven was did say that on a group call). So he suggested anything above 50 bopd was commercial but he did expect a lot more.
Basically just don’t be concerned if the well test does yield 1000+ per day.
Just need the well test. Hard to believe we are still waiting for it.
Does anyone have any idea why stage the testing process is currently in? Would the perforation/stimulation of the well pre test require update via RNS?
You may be giving society too much credit arty.
“Getting away without any leaks”.............the SP stalled and then fell to 0.54p. That hardly suggests it wasn’t known.
Environmental impact assessment.
Were we expecting them to announce the start of flow testing?
I had expected some sort of volumetrics update prior to testing. But if they have started testing already, then according to DB at UJO, the longer the better.
Pretty sure DB said the longer the test the better.
Should we be expecting updating volumes in advance though?
Thanks JD
“Apparently” they drilled the eastern cube first as it was a smaller parcel of seismic to process.
I hope the strategy is for the best, and it probably/possibly is, but when you invest for TA and we end up giving it up, I think you can be excused a bit of frustration.
Good on you Jaggers. I can see merit in this too...it certainly limits the downside..........
.........but given this was a “steal” at 15p with el molino sur (think I remember that right) in the bank......we’ve seen enough downside.
It was always about TA, specifically where the blowouts were, until EMS came along. Then EMS turned out to be coal and we have ditched TA. Hence the slide from 29p ish to 0.5p ish.
Shocking really - but good money to be made for Johnny come latelys......but all the best to those I wish you great success.
Good point about the seismic cost. Personally I think to give up on TA is a huge shame. Everything we were told about the historic blow outs on the Western Cube is now for someone else to pursue.
I very much hope that echo does not end up just being cash generative to pay their wages.
After years old holding AFC shares, from 10p (ish) to 60p (ish) and then down to 4p. I sold sub 10p after becoming tired of the wait.
Looks like it is all happening now though - so good luck to all those invested - nice to see.
I can’t see this being anything but an exit from TA. Hopefully I am wrong, but given all the time they have had to interpret the seismic it is disappointing that at this stage we withdraw.
Looking back at the “time with team” it sort of makes sense as JB has continually avoided being specific about the western cube.
