Little PI’s on here thinking their emails can influence the board or market is just stupid. Most markets are selling off right now. I’m in here deep and I’m not comfortable whatsoever but I think it might be best to not login to any trading platforms for a while and let this BS blow over.

This reminds me abit of 888 when it went down to 51p, I was averaged at 85p after piling more in and there was so much fear about loosing their licence, going bankrupt etc I bailed and then the price corrected and went right back up.

Not all situations are the same but for the majority of stocks the market will sort itself in the end. The board did not help their self on the last earnings by dropping the Covid support funding issue on us. It’s these little cheeky announcements that are giving the market a lack of confidence. Fingers crossed on the next update their don’t throw anymore BS out there to justify their earnings.

I’m still staying long on this one, but it’s definitely going to take a lot longer than planned to correct itself and providing they can still pay the dividend im treating this like a savings until the price re rates and my capital is now longer showing a loss.

Heavily invested here and the daily drops are painful to watch. When I hit my average of 130 it’s going to seem like a massive profit, but definitely not selling out early on this as once this business turns a corner it will go north.

The best opportunities come from depressed prices like this. Haven’t topped up yet to average down as I’m not sure where the bottom is on this one.

Yeah, and that is high given the profit. Although with inflationary costs adjusted and improving margins/revenues this should offset the interest rates. Inflation erodes debt in the long term it’s just how they navigate these high rate periods. If they manage it this company will have a big upside over the next few years in my view. I did say before I don’t see a short term catalyst and I was to fast to pile in here in the 120-130 range as I saw value even at that price. I’m happy to ride it out and collect the dividend, it’s not a loss until you realise it ay!

I hear what you’re saying and do agree. They could do more. I am surprised the directors haven’t made substantial buys at this price, I probably have more shares than most of these.

It is abit baffling. The main negative to this stock is the debt pile with rates going up and up, the cost to service the debt will inevitably increase. Although with revenue growing, passenger numbers up, new markets opening and inflation “slowly” coming down, I do see this as a blip in the long term. I do view this as a longer term play and will review in another year. If the revenue declines or major contracts start to be cut then I would be considered but I think the underlying business is growing and in demand so the rest should follow in due course. Just my opinion.

What do half of you guys think the stock market game is about? If you think it’s about buying and doubling your money in a week, that’s complete pot luck. Not reality. This is still a solid company, going through some challenges but I do think value will return. It’s an essential service providing a tangible service not a meme stock that doesn’t do anything. Now inflation based costs have improved so will the margins and I do think profit will be on the rise, especially as this company is growing revenues it’s not in decline, it’s growing. Be patient! Looking at charts everyday will do your head in. I am down massively on this share with a large holding but I am confident it will return. Buy more or come back later in the year to see the updates. The BOD can only control the market so much, shares go up and down it’s the nature of the beast.

Im holding 37k shares of these at an average of 124 (factoring dividend). Unfortunately I don’t see any catalysts for the share price to recover in the short term. Perhaps Fy results or toward the back end of the year but with the macro situation, lack of director buys and a shoddy IR team, the low volumes and sentiment means it’s doing nothing. Opportunity cost is a wonderful idea in hindsight but who knows where any stock is going, if we did there wouldn’t be a market as we’d all be winning. I have thought about averaging down but the downtrend does not appear to stop, I question where is the support and also why is there minimal buys. We really do need some amazing news or a bid to get this share moving up now.

I’ve kind of written off this investment for the next 18 months which is very annoying as it’s my largest holding with lots of other stocks flying and I do see lots of those picking up pace sooner. I thought this was oversold at tje 120 range and shocked we are still here. Still believe in the underlying business as public transport is going to be relevant for many years. I also thought this would be a recession proof play….

I have to remind myself that I’m not trading these shares and it’s impossible to find a bottom it’s just concerning seeing your capital diminish. If you don’t need the funds then I do think riding this out for 6 months and the share would have recovered back to 130 levels. Time will tell. GLA.

I would be very surprised if a cash call is coming, not after multiple director buys, a solid trading update and reinstatement of the divi. Keep your heads this is a solid business that provides an essential service, it’s just going through a rough patch and will come good I’m sure of it. Always an interesting ride there though

This is all just MM games as far as I’m concerned. You have to ask, what has changed since the last trading update? No news, nothing bad except macro issues which of course makes an easy target. So many other companies with high debt were driven down and bounced back x2. I lost my nerve on a lot of other shares which did the exact same thing only for them to rebound. I do think this is a moment in time and it will come back, just when. Very frustrating when you look at other missed opportunities but that’s hindsight. The question for me is when to top up as this share is clearly being dragged down day by day.

The recent decline being the one that has broken out of its consolidation trading range 115-125ish. We were in a tight range for a few months with the share price fluctuating mostly on small volume algo trades and of course now we are seeing another leg down. I’ve seen this time and time again, ultimately though I’m never gona catch the bottom and whilst I don’t want to catch the falling knife, I do believe in the company long term, it’s prospects etc. for me micro managing the daily changes would kill me off with stress and I’d be better putting my money into a saving account.

Obviously you are trying to trade the share and catch a lower price and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, whatever your strategy is.

I don’t think the recent decline is anything to be concerned with, so many stocks are getting absolutely decimated right now in so many sectors. Lots hitting all time lows or retracing. I think most people are really fishing to catch the exact bottom with so many stocks, with Nex I do see this as a long term hold and will continue to drip feed on drops and truly believe this will return handsome returns to holders in the coming years. If you don’t feel comfortable with paper losses and only have a short term trading mindset then this market is so volatile you are pretty much gambling trying to find bottoms/swings.

I will continue to add, although I do have a large holding already but do view Nex as a solid company that is an essential service that will be relied upon by governments for years to come to achieve net zero targets and the increase of adoption of public transport.

I do feel and share the pain with you all and I do wonder when this will turn. It definitely takes balls of steel to be investing right now but long term I do think this is a fantastic opportunity. GLA

This share really does boggle the mind. I think the macroeconomic gloom is causing a lot of shares to drop today and this is going to fall with it. There is clearly a big seller behind the scenes. I am optimistic about the long term view but watching this daily is not a good idea! Perhaps one to park, collect the divi and come back in a couple of years.

This share is clearly being heavily manipulated by shorts, good businesses always come out on top. I do expect this to drop further, I've currently got approx 37k shares in this so want it to go up as much as everyone else. Although it's clearly a volatile stock.

The thing that makes me believe most in this business is the necessity of the product and also the importance of a public transport company like this for governments to meet next zero carbon emissions. These will surely be vital to meet those targets so I just can't see how it won't be around in years to come.

It's very hard to keep checking the price, but I do think this will get rolling in the summer. Gla and don't give away your shares to these shorters at these prices! In the past I've come out of trades to see the price reverse sharply and lost out. Time in the market, not time in the market. Easier said than done ay.

It could very well drop to the 119 level or lower. Let's be honest, nobody knows. The issue is at current prices the bottom is likely closer than further, how low can this stock possibly go? And it's not dropping due to bad news, the underlying business is solid. Surely any drops are a chance for a long term investor to acquire more shares at cheaper prices. Trying to time the market is a fools game, because I can guarantee you will miss the one day it ramps and all the gains made by trying to enter at the lowest possible price is wiped out due to not being in the market or "waiting for the bottom".

Who knows. I can see this going a tad lower in the short term, by the end of 2023 far higher than where it is now. If not, what the hell do we know :)

So why spout off all the crystal ball investment talk saying you will hold and you've acquired the skill of patience in your infinite investment wisdom. Just be up front and say you are day trading for a profit. That's what integrity is.

First post here. Have a decent size holding in nex, in profit although I am continuing to hold as I think this is severely undervalued and it's clearly being manipulated so it depends if you have the stomach for it.

Quite clearly you have no integrity, long term investor being all of six days, saw a profit and ran. You are not investing on fundamentals or future prospects. In and out for a penny.
