I've been a holder and predominantly BB spectator since late 2013. Can't actually remember what first made me invest, however it certain wasn't down to thorough research at the time. How things have changed since then. Thanks to the incredible wealth of generously shared information here and of course the incredible work on TBP I've never felt more knowledgeable or confident in any investment. I've learned a heck of a lot over the years and now feel extremely well informed in a subject matter that I never imagined I would. Special thanks to the visionary that is BBN who in the second half of 2016 repeatedly signposted the Vametco acquisition by the following April. I never quite managed to buy in the 1s but my purchases at 2.14, 2.7 and 3.7 do look rather good value now, however they're still not for sale at 37p.

@1210 I completely understand where you're coming from there. Great Ormond Street saved my little boy when he was a baby. I'm still in awe of what they do every single day and will never stop being grateful for what they did for him.

Having been invested here for getting on for five years I remember Corbs' posts. I'm sorry to say that after all this time I don't actually remember the content very well though as I was a full-time BB spectator back then but do remember them being very well regarded. Oh and his 'Corbs musing' sign off of course.

Well done everyone and an excellent choice of charity. It's been a long time coming and has taken a lot of patience. I'm prepared to be a lot more patient.

If your dealing platform lets you you could try buying pre-open between 7:50 and 8.

For example, on 13th I bought some at 19:38p at 7:59 but could have , dealt at that price from 7:55. Before then, the spread's too wide. By 8:05 the price had gone up to 22.48. Never understood why pre-open is available to me for BMN but not other shares, but it is.

We came tantalisingly close just after the RNS. I did a dummy buy of just a few thousand shares and was quoted a price of 29p. The bid at the time stayed at something like 26.25 though. Obviously no takers. Monday would be nice though please.

I did wonder. Hard to imagine but maybe with the strike they underestimated the strength of buying? For me it was a bit like finding some really cut price shares in the supermarket 'Reduced to clear' bin!

I managed to get 2540 shares at 7:59. At 7:53 the pre-open offer was 19.38 so I waited until 7:59 to see if they lowered the price and tightened the spread which they often do. I decided 19.38 might be the best I was going to get. Frankly I'm amazed that a) they let me buy pre-open and b) at that price given the RNS.

Those were mine first thing, justa few thousand more before open. Amazed that I was able to get some at that price.

I like this quote in particular "it's a multi billion dollar project...you can't get into it for less than three or four billion dollars so it's got to be BHP, Rio Tinto...one of those majors".

Just listening to John Meyer talking to JW about SOLG today. At the end JW asks him what he thinks will be the hottest future commodity. Knowing what many BMN holders here know about Vanadium I fully expected V to be his answer. Instead "if we go back to a presentation by Rio Tinto Ventures, well tin was top of their list." "For me I think tin and nickel are more adventurous than copper but have great futures going forwards." I always knew this was a long term play and have barely given my tiny ATM holding much thought up to now. That was my buy at 21.74 - I couldn't resist a handful to add to my holding. When the offer sat at 21.35 for half an hour I just felt that this was about to turn. Naturally, I reserve the right to be wrong!
