I'm not sure what to think, could they been seen as cashing in on 'their' mistakes ?
Was there a closed period when they couldnt buy ?
If they were to buy now - would it cause suspicion ?
If TLW were emailed this question, then i would be interested in their response.

If TLW sell assets the going bust is less likely. One scenario is that an asset sale and a T/O are announced on the same day.

Sell off some of the more complicated non producing assets - reduced the debt - cheap T/O

The chart doesn't account for an asset sale - because thus is what will turn TLW around.

BTFATH, I see your points, but after the heavy oil in Guyana the SP was around 140p - and other than production, nothing has changed in assets sine then.

we might have to sell our crown jewel to survive - but it would be beneficial to keep some working interest

It depends on if they want it to 'recover' - I'm not sure they do
