Investec broker note: metro bank now a buy. Released this am

I'm holding at the moment.Might call it a day,day-trading luck finally caught up with me and Ive currently held on to just under 3000.Mid-term I think the FCA won't fine in the end. I have concerns about the damage done to reputation. The crowds piling down to metro bank safety deposits. How many were on the internet closing/ moving out money?
Long-term : Internet banking/ cryptocurrency/death of the high street.
I don't think they are finished with rights issues either - 2020 again?

I'll continue to day trade. More of the same- volatility and 5%+ swings.

I'd be happy with 50p a share profit, to be honest. I keep an eye on Questor Daily Telegraph. They recommended this at a tenner and still recommended hold at 3.62 I think last month. Auditing takes time, just because it takes time, it doesn't mean there are any imminent disasters, although the price is obviously prone to drifting as news is awaited.

I'm still buying into this. Is it a short term gamble, yes? If it takes a tumble and I've got it wrong, I still believe in the fundamentals of this, and may have to wait. I'm averaging 248p 4831. Good luck all.

Very low volume. Can't be any serious shorting at those trades. Not sure what is in it for them with such a drop out of the blue anyway form 8+ to 2.50

I bought 3500 yesterday and it took quite some time. DId it 1000 at a time to get it through and a 500. Couldn't get an immediate price on more than 1000 at a time. Must be some pressure building on these. I am hopeful.

Admittedly, this article makes Metro look both incompetent and fair and reasonable, but there is clearly an interest in knocking Metro in the press. I wouldn't know if it is sinister play at work. I suspect click rates are high and encourage the press to keep reporting. The public in general love knocking banks and hearing about other people's grief. Vernon / Metro culture/ wife/ dog is great media fodder. The run on the banks etc. The negative sentiment of Metro will continue for some time yet - FCA, US law firms sniffing, Vernon in general. The buffoonery in miscategorising the loan risk will keep getting churned out. There should be some superb volatility to day trade with next week.

I have continued to find success day trading this but do not like holding overnight with this little fella. I, personally, worry about the shorts not closing - they have had ample opportunity to, but haven't. They clearly are expecting substantial falls, surely? This will continue to offer some superb day trading opportunities. The huge drop this morning was on pretty small volumes. Doesn't take much to swing this share.

It's like groundhog day, I remember vodafone getting hammered in the 3g auctions. Uk govt made an absolute fortune out of vodafone.

I'm primed and ready for end of day "pop" . Ready to sell some ones purchased on the dip an hour ago.
