Amazing to watch a de-ramp take place in real time. This is all it is - look at the tsunami of new posters with bad tales to tell - why, guess they have an agenda. They know nothing about the company, Nigeria or any placing but they do know fear.

Remember the majority of 'new' posters today are simply & blatantly trying to drive the price down - they are either shorters, MMs offloading orders or folks trying to get in cheap ahead of any news. It is not impossible that we will have positive news before a placing, in which case these guys are dust.

At 10.10 in that thread he posts ".....expecting another 20m+ buy filled shortly then it will explode.." [How does he know 20m+ - very close to actual trade size]
At 10.38 a 22.69m Sell comes through @ 0.167.

So was the 22.69m sell what it was all about. Is the ramping related to an MM offloading a position - I am not a trader so I dont get what goes on in these dodgy circumstances.

I am similarly confused the 31 million trade at 16.22 appeared to be mid market at 0.183 when spread was 0.180-0.185. So was that actually a sell - following the same road as last August when we had another giant sale before the placing?

I see the ramper seems to have disappeared - job done

Were those big buys really buys? I ask because there is a guy on Twitter who posted "These buys ARE pre placing sales.". Anybody any idea about the truth of that, how do we find out ?

RK. Its quite amazing that even after another duster 88e still has a mkt cap approx 11x that of COPL.
Even if 88e do strike a deal & get a farm in their % will be small.

As you said there is the possibility that Arthur will have important news next week, and certainly the current share price seems to have allowed for & discounted every negative but no positives!

Esski actually I think there is genuine 'truth' in that statement, the annual figures & accompanying management report are due next week.

I think everybody who has contact with Arthur really needs to stress that this endless dilution/placing game has run out of steam. Maybe the best option is to sell down part of our OPL226 stake to Kola or any other taker?

This price collapse has gone too far. As others have correctly pointed out over the last couple of days the OPL226 project is still up & running, progress has been slower than we hoped but that is not the same as acting as if bankruptcy is imminent - its not.

Arthur & the company are waiting to release year end accounts 2018 (due next week) which will come with a crucial update on the OPL226 situation - none of us know what is in them, but I for one think it very likely meaningful progress has been made.

Rift. I feel your pain, all long term shareholders feel the same way. For a long time you were a strong advocate of COPL & Arthur - have you explained to him your frustrations. I ask because I get the impression he & our Board don't appreciate the depth of dismay & depression the current situation has created among vast numbers of investors.

A placing was announced in the August 2018 Prospectus: " ...a further equity raise to be completed in or prior to April 2019...".

Arthur needs to stop the negativity he has created by continually issuing timetables & 'facts' that never come to fruition. Most recent example, his text to IR which they then quoted stating "Our project has been approved, but due to the elections we have been asked to keep quiet..". The elections are over, no need to keep quiet any longer lets have the approvals RNS. We easily have the votes for it but it needs to have a clear specific and achievable goal. Otherwise we waste the cost of an EGM, the cost of trips over to Calgary & most likely face Arthur just stonewalling us with "Confidentiality" etc etc

Frankly we have all been lax as shareholders - we can actually vote in a Board that represents us rather than Arthurs Board that represents his interests. But that means we have to get organised, find alternative candidates etc. The earliest we could achieve anything would be the summer by which time the damage will have been done. Arthur depends on our laziness to do what the hell he likes.

Sadly as we know from the past Arthur does not use the correct means to contact shareholders, but prefers indirect means such as via IR, which gives him the advantage of deniability ie he can always claim 'misunderstanding'. He plays yet another Arthur trick of then referring to his own (useless) RNS where indeed he actually discusses the NNPC approval process, but now refers to it as 'outlining' the program to the NNPC - pathetic QC style prevarication.

Via IR, ie Cathy & Co, it was clear at the end of January he was signalling that we had passed a significant approval hurdle ie the NNPC had approved his 'program' but it could not be released due to the election which was why we were being informed via IR. Look how clearly "approved" is spelt out by his IR agent Cathy:
"Arthur believes the elections shouldn’t interfere with the project . It has already been approved, but due to elections the Company has been asked to keep quiet."

Arthur holds us investors in total, absolute 100% contempt, to realise the value of OUR company & OUR OPL226 oil field, we need to rapidly find an alternative to Arthur's disastrous mismanagement.

But the NPR permit approval is a separate issue from the NNPC final approval (& comes after it), that was referred to by Cathy & Co. as having been granted. So the (NNPC) approval announcement remains the one we were told was delayed because of the election and should be announced formally in an RNS.

Is Arthur doing his familiar trick of changing the parameters - away from those confirmed by Cathy & Co to the next stage namely the DPR permit process?
