Bob. They missed the filing date for the first time in over a year. If something has happened to the company over that period they have to reveal it in the report. The only change from the previous month was the report of Arthur's loan.

Ploppy. The feedback we have been getting for the last 6+ months is that the service provider is v likely to be 1 or more Chinese not Schlumberger. The publicised meeting between the NNPC & CNOOC 6 months ago to repair relations, 'may' be related.

The January report has finally been filed on 24 February at CSE. The only change is in Section 13 where Arthur's loan of C$200k was detailed. No other sections were altered.

Berta I also think a buyout is unlikely but it is possible - we know what hell it is to get anything done in the Nigerian oil industry, particularly honestly! If Arthur gets this through to drill then he has taken all the pain out of the process for a prospective oil company wanting exposure to the Nigerian oil sector (perhaps as a hedge against say Gulf fields). As well as having taken all the pain out of the process we also have perhaps the best partner in the Nigerian il industry in Kola Karim - that is also worth something. Pre-oil its a long shot, after the first successful drill it becomes just a matter of time before a buyout.

MK I agree its a weird order that seems hours out of place as a buy (given those levels only happened as a blip in the morning), but in the past delayed buys have been reported late but at the time they took place ie if they were reported at 16.42 the time stamp might be 12.42. If someone understands the system it would be good to hear an explanation.

At the end of the day I think what has happened with today's RNS is straightforward - Arthur has extended a small short term bridging loan to get the company through a few days/weeks whilst the lawyers wrap up the contracts on a complicated, multi partner finance/service provider deal. Its positive not negative, its avoiding any dilution & its setting us up for a mega rise come the deal RNS.

People will be lucky to get in under 0.20p this morning. Those early buyers were v lucky the MMs didnt mark it up far enough fast enough! Shorts must be fretting!

Well it has to change the balance between the ultra bears who call 'bankruptcy' and the bulls who see complete project finance within the very short term. At the moment our market cap is entirely dominated by the bear case, this should move it so it begins to reflect the huge possibilities in OPL226. Arthur is putting some money where his mouth is & that is noteworthy, I reckon they are fine tuning complicated legal documents but that most likely the main parties have agreed terms in principal. we know what is coming - strategic partners likely into OPL226 itself with service provider (s) providing offtake finance plus of course the Trafigura/Bank Mauritius facility already in place. Nearly there!

When the player is wrong I blame the player not the game. Suhail was abusive to LTH here from Day 1, something he is on every board he pollutes. Whether he is right or wrong, makes money or loses money is a totally separate issue from his abusive behaviour.

I don't have a problem with traders or even pump & dump merchants provided they don't interfere with LTH investors & their dialogue. If Suhail & Co want to pump a stock I am in, so be it, I don't see how it effects the long term share price either way for LTH - ouu choices here are stark - financing news or placing. What I do object to is when Suhail tries to shout down & abuse LTH when all we are doing is carrying on our normal dialogue. - Which lets face it has become pretty sceptical over the last couple of years, which he does not find 'helpful' as all he wants from a board is unthinking relentless optimism in order to draw in punters, up the share price & then he offloads. He does the same abusive SOP on every share he is in & every board he pollutes.

Nothing from Suhail for over a day, so he is likely out & presumably so are most of his gang - or at least the ones he lets know.

The characteristic of his warrants that caught my eye was the relatively short life only 2 years from Feb 2021 to Feb 2023.

Agreed Boom & RK, we have had longstanding hints that the 'strategic investors' coming in at an early stage will not necessarily be taking straight shares in COPL but something more complex.

The buys are clearly coming in today close to the full offer price.
