Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
One of the true greats , phenominal player, great coach ,huge legacy. A standout in one of the all time best international teams , Holland 1974 , as you say sad day for football.
Gee shucks , cheers mate , you know me so well......lol.
Even I'm not that cynical, lol. And that's saying something with regards to this government .
Almost certainly the most positive step in the banks recovery since leaving the APS . May not be of any immediate shareholder benefit other than improving sentiment , no bad thing . ....Been wondering when they would get round to this , from memory the bank's been paying a monthly penalty for not concluding since the start of the year ,
More of a rollercoaster , lol.
About time , lol. .......All we need now are some nice fat profits to let them resume the divis
G.O. ......More of a con man than a conjurer...... Certainly tricksy , lol.
Loved watching him , wonderful showman , great magician . ......RIP .
I'm no accountant ( where's HALFMIST when you need him, lol. ) but pretty much all those assets have been sold at a loss and there have beena lot of them .
That's one of those questions your probably better googling . Many reasons ,arguably mostly psychological . In the case of RBS the main reason given out by the company was to reduce volatility , media speculation was that it took it out of the penny share bracket ,as mailman said , truth be told it was too big a company to ever be classed as a penny share , it's not just about price . From memory , the main reason and this is speculation on my part , was that the SP was getting dangerously close to the nominal value . If the SP drops below the nominal value it stops a company from issuing new shares ......I think , lol.
LOL.
4-0 ....Don't know which game you were taking your boy to , hope it was this one. Weearrapeepul , lol
Aye that's fairly common , people often mistake it as a director selling due to some forthcoming bad news . Cropped up reguarly with Hester.
Cheers guys , never knew any of that before......one of the main attractions of the boards , Education .
Welcome to the board but at the risk of disappointing you we don't have any experts or crystal balls . For what it's worth and purely my opinion ,£10s of pounds seems highly unlikely £4 / £5 , maybe a bit higher , much more realistic . It's really anybody's guess .As LennyMac just pointed out it's not just about fundamentals . ATB
Morning ......Ok you got me , lol .......I'm in cash at present , really posted as a reminder to any newbies who might be thinking of investing because of the current SP that there's more to it than that and a wee read up on the basics might be helpful before committing their hard earned . As everyone seems to be in agreement that at the moment RBS is effectively a trading share , by basics I was meaning things like a trading plan , risk management etc .Your right , of course, regarding sentiment , fundamentals and the banks position currently and over the last few years .
Not that many months since I ws reasonably confident this wouldn't drop much below 300p and if it did would quickly recover. Silly me , ignored the basics ....
Thanks for that , wasn't sure what the current NAVwas but had a feeling it was a bit higher than £1.79 .Hard to tell what the liabilities are going to be , been so many curved balls over the last few years ,difficult to tell if the New York Yanks have stopped pitching .Very interesting post . Value investing .....BG ...If he's good enough for Warren Buffet , lol. Mistaking luck for skill...good point ..worth a reminder.
Agree with most of that but I'd be interested to know how you reached a book price of £1.79 . Seems a bit low ?
Another dip in the market not just RBS ......Traveller hope your stil sitting on your hands mate .
