Ordinary trades are T2 settlement - cash in 2 days . Ties into Acacia [who btw are foreign!!] needing to settle the deal with Link. Ordinary is not a catch all for "other trades" - LSE has numerous trade types for all scenarios.
So, your merely making it up to try and support your whacko position of there isn't necessity for the exchange to be backed by £ transaction. That is 100% wrong.
As I said before, give an example of an ordinary trade with no cash settlement .
