Capital under advisory for Sofant was £2.7m pre yesterdays RNS – the majority of total funding to date. Clearly NSCI’s 300k won’t be CUA as you can’t advise yourself! And the British business bank may be outside.
NSCI have a 20% carried interest arrangement on £2.7m of the equity. Carried interest is a share of any profits that managers receive as compensation regardless of whether they contribute any initial funds.
The manager's carried-interest allocation varies depending on the type of investment fund and the demand for the fund from investors. In private equity, the standard carried-interest allocation historically has been 20% for funds making buyout and venture investments
Carried interest monies are paid to managers upon a successful exit from an investment.
NSCI will also get 1-2% management fee for CUA funds.
If the company is sold or listed & that £2.7m CUA eventually becomes say £50m, NSCI will receive 50m minus 2,7m times 20% and they still have the 400k investment.

All we have in recent trading is the churn from buys at 21-22p from H's 3m dump at 20p. - once these trades diminish, you are left with holders who want the wait - effectively where we are now.

The BOD did well then to sell 1.63% of Glycotest for £345k this year.

Parallel universe when 1.63% = £345k and 64% valued at nil. [along with everything else]

have evidently published a research report today but I can't find it.

All i can find is this

Retaining its ‘buy’ rating, WHI lifted its price target to 180p from 135p. The Investors Chronicle tip lifted its target to 199p.

I agree - they could have said we sold 1.64% for half a million but they couched it in elaborate twaddle ( and putting in the carrying value on the books at basically nothing.) to muddy a disclosable transaction. ( and putting it after the accounts knowing peeps only look at the headline pages.
They appear to be totally underselling the co whilst claiming no one understands and get a P.R. person. Reasons I know not but given over 50% is BOD and the backer, they ain’t doing it to lose money.

I don’t respect their methods ( remember SageTech £ was confidential in the placing doc - and outrage IMO as not transparent) but to bore you, the numbers on Glyco are mind boggling( see site presentation) and Proaxis looks very solid and well respected so whatever they do, I’m staying here and eagle eyed. Whilst PDS is good, I’m not in this for that - a nice side show .

Get the full 40% when they cough up the total, at conclusion.
Worth it for PRC royalties on sales.

That said, even the Investors Chronicle did not pick this up.

As a result of a non-controlling interest acquiring additional interests in Glycotest, Inc., the Group's ownership of Glycotest, Inc. decreased from 65.65% to 64.02% a movement of 1.63%. The carrying value of Glycotest, Inc. net assets in the Group's consolidated financial statements on the date of the acquisitions was £141k. Proceeds received from non-controlling interests amounted to $500k or £345k.

Well, Friday was the first day the RSP would take 500k so that ties in to the end.
But circumstantial evidence.
They will still take 500k btw.
