MRW takeover must be good for the share price here, it could be a most interesting time to hold TSCO

The bod are developing new ways of acting which I imagine is encouraging to staff at all levels. Its a funny experience to see how people don't seem to like change but if they are able to set the change in motion they can love it. Years ago I loved working in a subsidiary of a bank, 'would go in early to enjoy an environment where we felt empowered. I would love to be a part of the MKS turnaround. JJ

Recent worldwide events have been giving me the hump but this RNS has brought back a smile. £2 by the end of the year maybe. JJ

Good Morning, MKS online is developing and I imagine encouraging many traditional customers to buy in this "new way". There are still plenty of people who won't trust say Amazon but instead feel safe with MKS. If the bod have enough imagination then MKS could grow sales to unheard of levels. Just imagine if you are shopping for MKS jeans, and they offer you the latest J.K.Rowling etc adding £10 to your basket. MKS don't have to stock books simply have a behind the scenes arrangement with publishers. I have used Ocado and can't understand why they are not cross selling books/socks etc., or maybe they are now. In short if someone comes to buy a pair of jeans they must aim to get a lot more of that customers money. JJ

That is a strange one for me as some of the Co Op stores appear down market and not where some JL customers would want to pick up their order. And if I were in charge of the Waitrose side of the business would I want customers of mine being tempted by the Co Op when picking up JL goods. Food for thought however. JJ

Why not make more? There is a fine line to tread, MKS has in the past found itself overstocked which has resulted in poor profit margins when having to sell off items below cost. Far better to have made a decent margin and to have the buying public looking out for the next beautiful bargain. Next time round MKS can up the stock level for 'school uniforms' knowing that they have created anticipation for a quality/affordable item(s) and perhaps increase the price to further enhance the bottom line. There is a good news story here and the markets will welcome it IMHO. JJ

The share price ought to be higher and the buy back is one step to that. I have held NatWest shares for 40 years and want to see the good times again! JJ

jreid, don't agree. Even the Guardian ran a positive story about NWG today. People move on with how they view a bank. For example if they get a 'good deal' on their mortgage/bus. loan etc. then they will talk about it. This is a good opportunity share for capital growth with increasing divs. I feel very positive about my investment here. JJ

Small div as the climate is not conducive to anything too juicy. JJ
