chilting, you say "basically printing money" but that is not what they are doing by borrowing. Money is available to the govt. hence they have borrowed very cheaply. Surely printing money devalues the currency and is a different scenario. If the number of unemployed doubles then incomes for those individuals crashes and therefore they are only able to buy essentials and it could mean lower inflation. If inflation does rise then the Bank of England will increase interest rates improving returns for our banks but creating all manner of other problems. Shoot me down in flames if you, or anyone can offer a different perspective. JJ

Figtree todays RNS saw it go from 13.66% to 12.66%, which means 11.66% Wed., 10.66% Thurs., and 9.66% on Friday; do you agree? If so it undermines your point a little!!! For me Friday is going to be an interesting one for all AMGO holders and the reason I bought on Friday. GLA

Chilting to experience an increase in unemployment alongside higher inflation seems illogical, in that fewer people earning so less pressure on prices. I have heard talk of higher inflation but expect only a small blip IMHO. JJ
