I think there's a good chance of them announcing sales in UAE soon. Gino emphasized that the key markets are both the USA and the middle east (where they recognise UKCA mark). There's been a heavy focus in commercial sales to the middle east since late last year.

Yes that is a very positive sign, John... thanks for pointing out. If CFO had felt there might be an imminent need for funding in the form of a discounted placing he would have surely waited until afterwards or indeed bought the shares as part of the fundraise. I think we'll see some very exciting news coming through over the next few months (much of it by the end of March).

We were told that Genedrive expect other stroke centres to take up CYP2C19 before the pilot completes, so as a very rough estimate I'm penciling £500k.

Scottish rollout for both tests - I'm estimating this at £500k too.

The 9 NICUs will be buying more tests from April as I understand that's when the NICUs grant funding ends (6 months from Nov 1st) so we'll either receive further grant funding from NIHR and OLS or the NICUs will fund it themselves - either way more income for us (I'd estimate £500k potentially).

5 new NICUs will be taking up the RNR1 test as part of the evidence generation, this is Group 2 which I believe begins from April.

There's also the tax credit of course and any other sales in the meantime (RNR1 in the middle east for example).

The cash runway will be longer imo considering the news we’ve been told to expect Q1 and reading between the lines (existing NICUs funding grant for hearing loss test is until end of April - so we can either expect another grant to be announced or the NICUs will fund it themselves - either way that would be more income).

And of course Scottish rollout, further stroke centers and the new 5 NICUs all expected any day. Hopefully at least one of these will be announced in the coming days/weeks to get the ball rolling.

Yes sells from private investors are bought by market makers and the opposite for buys.

My point is, for such a large amount of shares if was a sell then it was a very high price for the time considering the afternoon trading and the live quotes. The sell price was actually creeping up in the afternoon despite more sells which is unusual. If it was a sell it suggests there might have been a large background buy that hasn’t been shown yet causing the increase or PEEL (the broker) knows something positive is coming and so is taking a position themselves buying up people’s shares. Either way the share price is looking strong around here, it only takes a couple of buys and the market makers quickly move the ASK up.

That 750k trade is likely a buy at that price, it’s at a higher price than any of the other sales this afternoon.

First things will be additional stroke Centers taking up CYP2C-19 stroke test before the pilot finishes (before April), Scottish rollout of both tests, announcement of the 5 new NICUs adopting RNR1 hearing test. And of course we should hear something when the 9 existing NICUs restock by April/May.

Given the potential scale of CYP2C19 testing recommended by NICE and considering the acute nature of most stroke admissions, with a clear time-pressure to commence definitive antiplatelet therapy, this represents a major unmet need.

A POCT approach could address this challenge, with the capability to generate results in a clinically relevant timeframe without the need to send samples to centralized laboratories.

There might be some truth in the £1.25m grant funding. Russ mentioned in the presentation that they were applying for other sources of funding in the form of grants. I think they’re in the Middle East still at the moment so doubt they’d have time to RNS anything even if the news was known.

The most likely scenario from what I gather is that there will be a mix of POC and lab testing. The current study will determine where they’ll use POC and where they’ll use lab.

Genomadix has been doing quite well in Europe, in new hospital in Italy adopted their POC test last week. Ours is considerably better as recognised by NICE and others so I think that might be the next big push once it receives CE-IVD by the end of March.

The team are in the Middle East Monday which they believe is a huge market, and crucially they follow the same regulations as the UK, so I would expect sales to materialise there… at the moment it is their main commercial focus (along with UK).

There’s no doubt POC usage is growing in situations acute or time critical settings.

As mentioned, the labs are too slow and do not have the capacity required. Not to mention most CYP2C19 lab testing approaches used in practice only survey a small number of alleles.

Some labs take several weeks to get the results back.

I’m specifically talking about testing for CYP2C-19 to help guide clopidogrel use after an ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA).

That’s where Genedrive’s POC comes in to play and beats lab testing hands down.

It has been possible to get a lab test for CYP2C-19 for ages, some labs already provide the service but it can take weeks. Labs don’t have the capacity, infrastructure or quick turnaround time needed to satisfy NICE’s guidance and the needs of the clinician.
