Nope actually it doesn't work like that, Genedrive’s MT-RNR1 analyser is treated inside the NHS as a new point-of-care testing (POCT) device, so hospitals have to follow the standard POCT implementation pathway.

Training therefore comes after the analyser has been delivered and locally validated, but before the first patient sample is run.

In every recent example, NHSE’s letter says activity is reimbursable from the publication date forward, even if the NGTD PDF is formally uploaded a few days later and the tariff appears in the next monthly Payment Scheme patch.

Orders from stroke centres will begin immediately upon publication.

Do t forget recurring income from the 9 existing NICUs using the RNR1 test… that should be another £450k for the year due around May/June (this won’t be announced as they’ve already said they're providing recurring now).

Plus there will almost certainly be income coming from HASUs taking up CYP2C19 as soon as the tariff is released (implementation guide etc).

Also income from Scotland national rollout will be received before October.

There’s also the 5 new NICUs soon to be announced as part of the group b evidence generation. Approx £250k I believe.

This extends the runway beyond October.

NICE have already fully green lighted the CYP2C19 test, the implementation guide and toolkit will be from NHS and will be part of national commissioning.

For MTRNR1 the evidence generation should complete by the end of this year, then if NICE are satisfied they’ll update the recommendation to full and it’ll be commissioned.

Scotland is almost certainly preparing site-level rollouts now, with local agreements, training, and governance underway ahead of the October start.

There may not yet be public naming of specific Scottish neonatal units in NIHR’s PALOH‑UK registry—but the rollout is advancing via national funding and policy channels.

Roger, you should research further into national commissioning for CYP2C19… it’ll be in the implementation guide / toolkit imminently about to be published. GDR should get 40-50% of the market - basically the centres that use labs that are unable to meet the turnaround target (likely 24hrs).

I think the genomics sector is really starting to heat up. This combined with national commissioning for CYP2C19 or any significant news (FDA, special commissioning etc) could see a tremendous rise in share price from these lows!
