well, the odds of Sonora lithium extraction being discussed on July 14th must be very high considering the last **sentence, quite possibly the news Pablo Taddei spoke about for La Ventana in May.
:
Taddei refuses, again, to give more details about the talks because he says they are private, but says there are at least five in progress and that before the end of the first half of the year there could be an announcement about what will happen to the deposit at the La Ventana ranch, in Sonora, the site of the country that already has more advances for the production of the metal and whose works have been led by Ganfeng Lithium.

Regarding lithium, he recalled what he said on Saturday in the Zócalo when presenting his quarterly report and during the celebration for the fifth anniversary of his electoral triumph, in the sense that the National Council of Science and Technology has 95 percent in the progress of research to separate clay from lithium.
**"This is a great advance for Sonora, it will mean a lot, lithium belongs to the nation and a strategic mineral for the creation of materials."

Alfonso Durazo, Governor, Sonora, shared that the Chinese company Gangfeng Lithium is open to invest in the state company LitioMx. Gangfeng is interested in investing in the exploration and exploitation of lithium in the state.

Gov. Alfonso Durazo toured the facility with Pablo Taddei, the head of the newly formed state lithium company Litio para Mexico. The pilot processing plant is owned by Bacanora Lithium, which is controlled by the Chinese mining giant Ganfeng.
“There is a great richness of lithium in our state,” Durazo said. “And it represents a great future for the state.”
A lithium nationalization measure was approved in Mexico earlier this year, and several months later Litio para Mexico was created. However, during his visit, Durazo noted that the company will be able to work with private companies in lithium development.
