I do believe if it was a done deal with Canadian or US investment as my worst fears with the three amigos meeting it would be apparent by now. Two amigos have multiple mining operations, battery plants and processing capabilities. I also don't see Elon Musk screwing over Ganfeng, I'm my view he wants to keep the Chinese in favour.

Well, if the world number one EV manufacturer (next month I would say) and once number one battery manufacturer are producing mainly LFP then Hydroxide is perhaps not the way forward that's my point but correct they don't have a European battery plant - I'm sure Tesla are happy to import LFP batteries from BYD or CATL China into Europe for many years to come.

BYD blade battery is a gamechanger and Tesla know it.

Still, BYD could do with a European battery plant considering their plants in Hungary, that may not necessary mean they source lithium there, but they do need a great deal considering who they supply and their own EV and storage business being massive.
