Sonora has provided samples for five years - quality?

Ganfeng was engaged with LAC on the Thacker Pass project and it would have seemed logical that they took an interest after working closely with LAC in Argentina, of course, the Trump term caused no end of geopolitical issues and so perhaps Ganfeng made the decision to take an interest in Bacanora for that reason.

However, Sonora should be considered soft rock rather than clay and the pilot plant has been producing samples of the Asian market for near on five years and the quality has been noted as high grade even by Japanese standards that are considered more stringent than Chinese and another thing to consider is although producing 99.9% purity might seem acceptable the impurity although small might not provide a suitable supply for certain applications.

So my point is perhaps Sonora produced lithium products are superior to others, Ganfeng will have good knowledge of what can be produced at Thacker pass as well as quality demands from their customers, and my final point is that I do believe for solid-state batteries using lithium metal the purity factor is critical.

CERES POWER AND HONDA SIGN NEW JOINT DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT



Ceres Power Holdings PLC (AIM:CWR), is pleased to announce that it has signed a new Joint Development Agreement with Honda R & D Co Ltd ("Honda") to jointly develop Solid Oxide Fuel Cell stacks using Ceres Power's unique metal supported Steel Cell technology for a range of potential power equipment applications.



The Ceres Power and Honda joint development will also include a third party who will consider the future mass production scale-up of the Steel Cell technology based on Ceres Power's manufacturing processes which represents an important advancement in the relationship.



This 2 year contract will allow the parties to build upon the successful previous Joint Development Agreement announced on 29 October 2014 and represents a deepening of the relationship between Honda and Ceres Power.
