@EV_Bull,
Yes, that definately crossed my mind and this gave me further reason to belive we don't know the full story or intentions Ganfeng have!
Already posted but worth more consideration:

National Geological Service Director Flor de Maria Harp said late on Monday that the average amount of lithium found in samples reported by Bacanora Lithium BCNB.L, or about 3,415 parts per million (ppm), exceed typical concentrations found elsewhere in Mexico's mostly clay-based lithium deposits.
Her comments represented some of the first independent backing for Bacanora's claims about the concentrations.
"Bacanora is really a very good deposit," she said, adding that the service she runs has seen another ore sample from the same project that held some 16,000 ppm of lithium - a previously undisclosed number.

My expectation is talks with Ganfeng within a couple of weeks of the Mexican sign off.
Also worth remembering Tesla had a supply deal with Piedmont that's now in doubt.
September 2020:
The initial five-year agreement implies that Piedmont will supply about a third of its planned 160,000-tonnes-per-year spodumene concentrate produce from its deposits in North Carolina. Both companies have an option to extend the deal for another five years.
August 2021:
Aug 2 (Reuters) - Piedmont Lithium Inc (PLL.O) said on Monday it will delay first shipments of lithium chemicals to electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) and that it does not have a definitive date for when deliveries could begin.
The decision was mutual, Belmont, North Carolina-based Piedmont said. Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Tesla cannot gamble on supply with the planned expansion and Cybertruck, Tesla Vans and Tesla Semi, but reagrdless if we don't get Tesla their planned expansion will put presssure on global supply.
