I did have some reservations of late with the rhetoric spouted from AMLO but some of the ambiguity looks to be cleared up with Ganfeng with the more up-to-date press, it could well be conclusive over the extended weekend.

This includes lithium batteries, which could become a profitable business for Mexico as a major producer of electric vehicles. Of course, the specific impact of the Initiative can only be properly assessed once there is clarity on the final provisions approved by the Mexican Congress.

My opinion is very much aligned with @EV_Bull with an added exception, if the corruption is involving the Sonora lithium concessions an AMLO can prove corruption it could turn nasty.

AMLO has more recently been vocal on all lithium being for Mexicans and not overseas private companies, he is also standing strong against any influence from the US in the electricity reform bill.
