Time is marching on, and one deadline after another has slipped away. He must be frustrated by the lack of action, and which is probably beyond his control. If we had already done the deal, then the $0.5M Exclusivity Payment would NOT have been required.

I am as in the dark as everyone else, but it does not stop me from speculating the likely outcome.

Luckily, we are at the end of the process. I am hoping that our Partner will disclose their ID before the 31st August deadline. If not, it will be an expensive delay!

IMHO, disclosure of the "Preferred Bidder" is pivotal to the SP.

Given the protracted timescale from Data Room to 3D Inversion to the Closing of the Bidding Process to Selection of Preferred Bidder to Signing Off at Board Level, we can assume that our Partner has status. It has taken over a year to get the Conventional FO over the line, and I honestly believe that DW would not want to go back to square one.

I am intrigued by the payment of $0.5M for drilling costs. One can only speculate that it is to reserve a rig in the midst of vigorous competition. I suppose that there is still a slim chance of the deal falling by the wayside, although that would crash four months of legal work and other manpower costs on both sides.

Only fourteen working days before the end of August - I am sure that our preferred bidder will not want to waste half a mill. Let's watch this unfold with unabated excitement.
