Hi all,
I'm considering investing in this company before the upcoming Q3 results. What are people expectations from the results? I personally feel like a recovery for airlines is on the horizon but what are the factors for a recovery for easyJet?
Thanks.
The 3x only closes out if the RR main price drops 33.33% or more in a single day. Because 33.33% x 3 = 100%.
Nevertheless, I was absolutely bricking it but was confident of a recovery...and here we are. I'm still down on my main 3x by a small amount, but I have a separate 3x in my other account which is up and they cancel out, as well as a decent amount of normal RR shares at a nice 96p average, so I'm happy to hold for a bit.
For those asking about the spread - it's the difference between the buy and sell price, this is where T212 and other brokers make their money. For example, if the share price is displayed as let's say £1, the price that the broker will actually let you sell at may be something like 99.6p and that's their profit.
How much in % are you down by? I have a very similar average of 0.966 and I'm 12.5% down on the 3x.
So because its 3x then 12.5%/3 = 4.16% meaning I need a 4.16% rise on the standard RR share price to break even
Using today's close of 109.9 then 109.9 x 1.0416 = 114.47p
I need 114.47p to break even - just substitute your figures to work out your own. Also don't forget to factor in the spread.
@tryhardernow I bought £7k worth when the price was 104.5p and I'm currently only £80 down so I could hold for a while luckily. I do wish I sold on the rise though I could have taken £5k profit, this share is up and down like a yo-yo!
@tryhardernow how will the 3x be wiped out off a 4% drop? I bought mine when the SP was at 104p, 4% of the current price of 107 is a 4.2p drop. In my understanding it only gets 'wiped out' if the SP of RR falls by 33.33% in one day because 33.33 x 3 = 100%
Some of us would like to see some decent gains in less than 25+ years mate. As a 29 year old I'd rather have some money to spend before my retirement. Got a life to build, and I'm happy with the risk of the 3x so let people do as they wish. I have £7k invested in the 3x which wouldn't be the end of the world if I lost it, but when RR recovers the profit would be life changing so there's my choice.
I'm no expert but if the general trend is up overall then you should be ok to hold. I suggest you research the term 'compounding' this is the effect that the rebalancing you mentioned has on your investment. I'm quite heavily invested in both the 3LRR and RR also so we're in the same boat. I plan to sell my 3LRR after what I'd consider a significant rise, but won't be holding it for too long because of the risk. I'm happy to hold till around £2 maybe, whatever that equates to on the 3x.
Just be aware that if the price falls significantly then your 3x position will automatically close and you'll lose your full investment. You can't just ride out a storm if it gets the price gets hit too heavily like you can on the normal RR.
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows the relationship between the 3x price Vs the standard RR share price? For example if bought graniteshares at a price of 1.00 and the standard RR share price increase by let's say 10p what would 10p rise equate to on the 3x?
I'm just wondering as I'm quite heavily invested (for me) in both and I'd like to calculate a rough estimate of the return I would get overall if I sold at a given price.
Thanks!
Off topic question from the current discussions -
When/if RR decide to reinstate dividends, are the likely to be reinstated at a similar rate to pre RI? I'm assuming this won't be the case. This is my first investment, and I'm in for the long term so appreciate any advice!
For the people wondering when their RI shares will become available I have the below comment from T212:
'due to delays in accounting, we expect the shares to be available tomorrow, however, delays in this regard are possible as it not a process that is in reach of our control and as soon as we receive them we will allocate them immediately without delay'
Hello all,
Could someone help me - if sell the shares I currently hold today before I have received the shares I purchased via the RI, will I still qualify for the shares I purchased via the RI? I have subscribed to the RI in full and my funds have been taken for them.
