Investigation Details

On September 11, 2024, Rentokil disclosed that it expected full-year adjusted pretax profit of approximately £700 million, compared to £766 million in the previous year, citing weaker than expected sales in North America, the Company’s largest market. Rentokil also stated that it would cut an undisclosed number of jobs in its U.S. workforce to address cost overruns. On this news, Rentokil’s American depositary receipt (“ADR”) price fell $6.64 per ADR, or 21.04%, to close at $24.95 per ADR on September 11, 2024.

I think what is glaringly obvious now, it's all about free cashflow generation and net profit.

Large BOD buys, significant cost reduction program, large disposal to all but eliminate debt on paper at least, cannot even get this to where we were beginning of the year.

As I've said before, the March FY update including the start of next year is when I'm expecting to read guidance that includes FCF generation.

If they state that at that point, I'm confident it will happen. Until them it's still Jam, we expect etc.

Got a core holding now, looking at 12-18 months.

And if there were any rumours whatsoever, the sp wouldn't be falling most of the time!

This is what I was suggesting a few months ago.

The 80 mill loan maturing next year will definitely be repaid, Stephanie almost said that in one of her emails, that leaves 105 for investment, possibly paying for exceptionals forecast for this year, therefore bringing forward fcf generation ie ending the year neutral, and then even 10 mill buyback is 50 mill shares, sends the right message as in we can afford it, but not divis until sustainable cash flow generation, earliest hy25 most likely fy25 imho
