Another saying wage spiralling here and tight labour market, another saying lower GDP than previously forecast.

Where do these people get off always trying to trash sentiment here.

Why can't they be positive for once.

Maybe they want to trash UK stocks to buy in cheaper.

Roll on the NA sale and maybe Cosmens adding further.

Amers it will be like starting afresh with a load more shares, a lower SP, BUT a strong order book, massive bid pipeline, legacy contracts ending, so when they start turning a profit and FCF, the value will rise accordingly.

Just might take a few years.

Who knows but 10% disclosed shorts tells us everything at the moment.

Jon Lewis is a people person, running the company like it's a government department, they don't care about profits. Some of these contracts are run like local goverment councils.

Hopefully the new bloke will change all of that, bit of tough love required.

Unless of course shorts have been rebuying shares leading up to the spike of 40 but not closing, just holding.

Imo shorts are betting on a dilution of sorts, and then they can buyback all the shares at a lower price.

That has to be their logic for 10% + disclosed above 0.5%. Its a huge bet against.

I'm at 140 and thought about shedding a few at 173 and only didn't because of the forthcoming TU.

But it seems that the market is happy to whack good blue chips like JD by 24% because their profit will be 930 million ish instead of 1 billion.

10% fair enough but 23-24 is just a pee take.

The board here have to deliver given they turned down 230 from Apollo, shareholders will only be tolerant for so long.

It's got to a point where they are turning this into a traders market, no wonder no one wants to invest here anymore.

Last year s&p up 25% , Nas up 50%, Ftse what 3/4%, and midcaps well most are well down imo.

I agree so why does our fabulous market think it's worth retracing from 173 to 153 since it was announced.

Frustrating , infuriating and completely unjustified.

Yet they do what they want to despite buy volumes outweighing sells all week.
