Oils are in long term decline, unfortunately the penny has not dropped!

Nobody is making any real money out of this, it’s just a reflection of a switch away from investing in fossil fuels. Long term outlook for oil is not good and producers like Trinity need to be realistic and give something to share holders before it’s too late. The Board seem fixated on growing the business, so come the next spike I will be selling with no intention of buying back in on the subsequent drop.

I’ll add my two penny worth. As I recall going back 15 months ago when Arum demonstrated a compelling business case for gas storage at IM, it was predicated on a continuously fluctuating price of Gas to which IM would be able to be particularly responsive - buying and storing when price drops and selling into the market as prices recover. Subsequent to that, the FEED demonstrated a lower build cost and H&W opportunities are likely to bring further savings, thereby strengthening the business case.

Typically strategic infrastructure projects where there is a strategic/social benefit often only seem to gain momentum after the pain has been felt and fingers pointed. I hope that on this occasion government displays the good sense and foresight to act before it is pushed, particularly as IM represents a win win for all apart from seemingly Leesa and Naz!

The marked sells at .3144 were also buys, one mine - having raided the piggy bank!

I hope that once the consultation period is over we will finally see the back of JR as JW takes drives the business forward.

We need some luck and a change in strategy. Sovereign wealth funds are moving out of oil across the board and they won't be back. A decent dividend policy is now the right approach and the only way to see a return on investment.

Tango, but were they not hoping to raise £1m? Problematic in that it was not at a market discount and now leaves them tight for cash so more expensive borrowing!

Right now a favorable RNS would provide a favorable nudge to the OO

My thinking is that if a share buy back resulted in a significant increase in sp compared to current levels I, like probably many other LTHs, would be very tempted to sell a chunk of my holding and not necessarily at a profit. £4m on buy back may not achieve much, the same as a dividend gives an immediate nice return and establishes a long term attraction to the stock for investors.

A dividend of .0025p paid each quarter is emminently achievable, would reward LTHs and help the share price. It is certainly my preference over stock buy back.

Well put Setanta, I wonder if the motivation for H&W is a behind the scenes prerequisite to obtaining the imminent go ahead for Islandmagee. If so the fine, otherwise we could have sat on the project and avoided importing considerable risk and financial dilution

Islandmagee is a great project, I fear JW has been over ambitious and it will prove to be an expensive lesson learnt. H&W present an opportunity but ar what cost.

Regardless the way things are going it won’t be long before Trin’s worth equates to cash in the bank!
