Wouldn't BP's profits from it's Russian JV simply be held by the partners until such time as BP can collect ( sanctions lifted ) It's our money after all even if we can't realise it until it was possible to do so.

The potential in Australia is huge and every drill is finding more paydirt, the dilemma is, does XTR go with the short term RC/ Ascot model or do a Solgold and drill ad infinitum to prove every last inch up ?
Personally I'd like to err towards the former, who wants to be waiting for a pay day 10 years from now ( I know it wouldn't be that long but you get my gist) although if there is a significant infill I wouldn't mind waiting a couple more months for a bigger return.
I think CB knows exactly what to do here, there are a lot of folk hoping he does anyway, including me.

No need for dilution IMHO, we have enough money to complete the drilling campaign and pay for the assays and keep the lights on.
Plus we have money coming in.
The proved up material has been in the ground for eons, it isn't going anywhere until someone digs it up.
And we don't need to dig it up, we can just wait until someone buys it, meanwhile we have a gold mine income......

I would have thought they would have buried that one in amongst a couple of good holes, maybe it's a stand alone mediocre result.

I'm not that angry really, just disgruntled I'd say.
Entirely my own fault though, I made the rookie mistake of taking the SOLG disciples on here at face value and bought back in last year despite being bitten here many years ago.
You live and learn, I've made a lot of money on other shares this year so I'm happy going into 2022 overall.

XTR's resource is in extablished territory 100km by rail or road from Sydneys port, the majority of the resource isn't buried under a km of rock. Saying it's probably sub- economic is a cheap shot as it isn't sub-economic when everything is taken into consideration.
They aren't 8 years in without so much as a PFS and so far are just about on time with results as promised.
They also have an agreement for a potential sale without endless internal wrangling and in fighting between shareholders.
I'm in both these shares for quite a few (tens of)grand each and I know which one raises my spirits when I think of the returns time scale and which one makes my heart sink.
I wonder if you are slightly biased towards SOLG with a name like Porvenireal and don't have any money in XTR ? I also wonder when both these discoveries are sold and the dust has settled which one had been the best investment overall taking profit percentage and time into consideration.
And they haven't finished drilling in OZ yet either.

I remember the early days of SOLG, it didn't matter how good the RNS's were, the SP hardly moved, and suddenly it did in spectacular fashion. It's all part of discovery to production of a mine, there are lots of differences between this discovery and Alpala though LOTS of differences, location, depth of resource, the attitude (and age)of the BOD copper price etc.
The herd won't be here for a while as they will want to jump in and out for a short period on any spike ( last week ?), they are waiting until we are assayed and have a confirmation of the size of the resource, they won't make as much as us LTH's but they will do well.
But they know it won't be this week ( probably) so they are investing eleswhere until the time for a major rerate gets closer.
Hopefully we will hold 5p.
