I think it's Bidenomics that's holding the oil price back through his stifling of the US economy with higher and higher interest rates, the Chinese isn't ramping up as quickly as it would have because of it. It has a knock on effect globally
Biden will stop raising interest rates by late Q2, early Q3 IMHO and world economies will accelerate causing oil price rises. He will have to refill the SPR at some time and his $65 target isn't happening.

We will paying for covid for 50 years, it's effectively blighted the rest of my life, we are so fond of inquiries in this country, hopefully we will put a few of the guilty behind bars. Some of them are nearly guilty of treason in my opinion, and that's on both sides regardless of actual power.

Hobione, you are wrong, look it up, yes Thatcher closed the mines but she didn't instigate it. It was written into law by Labour, Callaghan closed more pits than she did. Google it, she finished what Labour started. Because she finished it she got the blame.

That's true but the reason the Labour Party set the wheels in motion to close the British coal industry was because Australian coal was cheaper. I lived in Selby at the time of the miners strike in 1984. Thatcher got the blame but she was only doing what Labour had made law before 1979. They were interesting times ..
The coal industry would have to be started from scratch, it's all deep mining and H&S would negate the use of existing excavations
Doable though but we need an easier and faster energy transition to electricity for the car driving masses, the answer is wind turbines to produce hydrogen. That's also going to take years so in the meantime we have.
