WWW - I don't disagree with you as it turns out. However, a deal may land on the table when we're all least expecting it to. It looks like there's some very chunky buys going on at the moment so I suspect somebody knows something we don't. The share price has and always will be just an emotional litmus test. It was at £1.02 and it still is today at 9.26p. We have more in our armoury today then we did when the share price was at its height unless you think otherwise? I dare say nobody out there can honestly think we had more back then compared to what we have and know today. Sure, there hasn't been much success at the drill bit, but we have learnt an awful lot more over the past few years about the underlying geology and perhaps where the sweetest spots are. I still believe what we have is worth a decent amount to the right buyer who believes in the potential of the assets.

Traders will always trade and investors will always invest. That's never going to change. I am personally in it until the end and if I lose my money (again) then hey, well at least I have been man enough to put my money down unlike you who doesn't have a position here. You remind me of a poster who used to frequent the MYSQ board who spent months and months talking the share price down, only to throw tens of thousands of pounds at the share omn the very morning that company announced it had run out of money and was going to delist. You couldn't have made it up if you tried. That person, who will remain nameless is probably in rehab or worse if you catch my drift. The moral of the story is, if you believe in there being a decent LE then put your money down and if you think it's all going to go up in smoke then spend your money and time elsewhere. You'll end up like that deluded chap who threw all of his money down when he thought he was grabbing a bargain. How wrong he was. How very wrong.....

You come on here thinking that you command respect. Nobody respects you and not even yourself. Crude is a decent person and I do have time for him. After all, he is on the board at Chuckle Gas plc even though he's not particularly enamoured about his forced appointment. I guess it beats working for the NHS though and living above a chippy. You can't put a price on success these days.

As I said yesterday, the savvy ones are topping-up and increasing their holding while the rest of you squabble and take chunks out of each other. The Horst alone is worth circa 27p but some of you won't accept the value of what we have, including the further exploration potential, especially into the Palaeozoic. You have fast become blinded by your own greed and angst. How very Orwellian indeed.

Leave Crude alone. Crude is a decent bloke and doesn't deserve these insults. Unlike a lot of you, he has actually made some money from SOU and used it to pay his mortgage off. On the contrary, some of you have gambled your properties on this, so ponder that thought before you next type your diatribe.

Trellis? No, I haven't read Voltaire, but I did research it earlier today based on your comments so that I have some knowledge about it should it ever come up in conversation. I'm always happy to learn something new.

I too am still positive of a decent outcome. It's just going to clearly take a lot longer than I was hoping it would. This could still fall under state control, yes. This shouldn't be ruled out. You dismiss that idea, which is rather shortsighted.
I'm here until the end no matter what the outcome. I haven't gambled my property, my pension and my life savings on this one, as some of you have evidently done.

People will remember you for years and years based on that one statement. However, Mooncheese and his £65 per share still makes me chuckle.

I still believe in a successful LE despite what many of you think about me. £1 minimum per share is what I am sticking with. We'll get there. I just don't know when!

I can 100% promise you that I am not trading SOU or any other share for that matter. The shares are sat in my ISA. If you want me to meet you and show you then I am happy to do that. I have never traded a share and as I have said in the past, maybe I should be because I wouldn't be looking at huge losses across my ailing portfolio. I am not alone anyway. Most of us here are way underwater, so don't make me your scapegoat. The only saving grace is that Crudehope is getting a bit of time off from his barrage of insults. I'm heading out soon, so you can go back to being rude at him instead. The fez ain't interested in your insults.

I did mention in my list of reasons for yesterday's raise, that it could be due to a bidder dropping out last minute. Have a read through my messages again if you need to seek clarification.

Those accusing me of "bipolar" ought to look at themselves in the mirror. Most of you were incessant rampers of the company and now you have seemed to have turned on everything and anything Sound Energy. I have tried to tell it how I see it and now that my comments aren't as positive as they have been these past few weeks, suddenly I have purported to have sold out. Makes me chuckle.

I agree. I think this will go under state control. The MG and the King won't want to see these assets been made a mockery of and sold to whoever can throw us a lifeline. There's way too much national pride at stake here. OGIF will want to see a return on their investment and maybe that's why the can is being unceremoniously kicked down the road - until a decent enough offer is concocted.

If it comes down to it, Chuckle Energy plc could make a bid, but I'm not sure if JP et al would accept a sack of spam fritters in exchange for The Horst. It may turn out to be their saving grace. Only time will tell.

At least Trellis has his faithful booze to turn to in times like this. I don't have any such vices but I may take up cigar smoking and vodka drinking very soon to numb the pain. There's only so many spam fritters that one can eat in one's lifetime and I was so much hoping for a generous helping of steak. Miller & Carter seems to be fading into the distance as I type these words. Oh how I crave after the lettuce wedge with blue cheese dressing that they serve on the side as a tasty compliment.

It seems that our only saving grace could be that this whole circus falls under state control. The Horst supplies enough gas to the Moroccans for there to be interest. 60% of their gas to power requirements, I believe.

Yesterday's raise smacked of a bidder dropping out at the eleventh hour and leaving us between a rock and a hard place. They have clearly had to buy more time, but for what? Was the amount raised for a very specific reason, or was it simply to keep the lights on for a few more months until they have to do another raise or seek alternative funding. I think JJ mentioned in the Malcy interview that he has access to a funding package on his desk, but I'll have to have another listen of the video.

This is beginning to remind me a bit of MYSQ and how it all ended badly there. I lost a fair bit of wedge with that one and I really don't want to repeat that exercise here. Bang goes my new Audi and personal number plate if it does. There is nothing else I need apart from another round the world trip to clear my head down. I have a loft full of expensive art and junk and if somebody wants to write me a decent cheque then they can have it all as far as I'm concerned.

I thought the same when I first read the RNS this morning. I thought...."you're joking me.....they couldn't have released a more ridiculous RNS based on recent communications" but I have given it some more thought throughout the day and I have reached the conclusion that the amount raised was a very specific amount to fulfil a very specific purpose, which I suspect has something to do with our conclusion. And so hence, I believe the LE could come a lot sooner than people think. The raise today would be just too cynical if it wasn't directly linked to reaching a successful conclusion and our LE exit. Now, I may be wrong but I have a hunch that things are still going to plan and on strategy. I wish I could leapfrog into the future and see how this story ends. It's shrouded in mystery at the moment and that is why I am feeling intrigued while others on here are feeling pure anger and frustration.

I guess the savvy ones are continuing to top-up / average down at these levels. I have one more top-up left in me if I can scrape together enough change. I'll keep a close eye on the share price for the remainder of the week though.

Wouldn't it come as a shock to all of us if an offer was put to us in the next week-or-so?! Crazier things have happened when at sea and for what it's worth....nothing SOU does these days shocks or surprises me in the most part.

Nobody is going to stop Crudehope from his positive commenting on this bb and his admiration for the SOU BOD. That's pretty much a fact. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion whether it be positive or negative or if you're a fence sitter and really not that bothered about what is uttered on this board.

I liken Crude to a puppy dog who is constantly wagging its tail even when you scold it. Puppy dogs also like to pee all over the place, leave a mess and mount master's legs, so perhaps my analogy is quite accurate for all those anti Crudites out there.

He just about retains his position as 'Head of Positivity' on the board of Chuckle Energy, but we have ordered-in some sick bags in case his admiration for JP gets too extreme. I say we judge JP on how he delivers the LE and not a single day before. He has lost some respect today, sure....but he's a smart man. He's no fool and I trust him enough to believe that he is working in all of our interests. I know some of you may strongly disagree with me, but I have met a lot of crooks in my time as a salesman / account manager and I don't think JP is one of those.

And let's be honest, if we get a low ball offer with contingency payments, it would have meant that JP failed to deliver on his promise of a decent LE. If he is to do one thing right, then for God sake, deliver us a LE that will make all of us happy and not just the few who would much rather see this all drag on and on. I don't want JP to think it's OK to let this all drag on and to go long on it. He has nothing much to lose by going long but we all do and that is why I think it is wrong. I don't want to hear the excuse of there not being a decent enough offer either. That again just means he hasn't sold our assets / company as best as he could have, or he hasn't negotiated hard enough. This will test JP's skills and he is either going to end up being our hero or is going to find himself between a rock and a hard place. There's enough very angry PI's out there who will do what they need to in order to recoup their investments.

Jobbs - quit the abuse you pathetic numpty. I don't want to entertain CP's if I can help it and I'm sure I'm not alone. I just want this all to wrap-up and conclude - and especially if it means I don't have to listen to numpties like you banging-on in my ear every two minutes. You bore me, pal.

I understand CP's. Don't teach me to suck eggs FFS. I just don't want to see them as it will mean things will drag on and on. I believe there is more of an appetite for us all to get our money back, hopefully with a tidy profit and to move on with our lives.
