RE: Whats the chances8 Nov 2018 09:28
Mannan,
Assuming it's only 1 million that has gone "missing" then theoretically speaking we could continue, but the road back would be fraught with dilution after dilution or fund raise after fund raise, which I don't believe any of us really want or would welcome with open arms. I commend those who are still feeling as though they can stick it for the long term but let's be honest......we are probably better placed to sell the company to the likes of Tencent who can take our products / services / strategies / projects forward at the pace they deserve and of course with the necessary financial backing.
I agree that what we have built-up to date is worth something despite what the naysayers spout on here. 6-7 million unique users (their best guess estimate), successful games that saw an increased gaming revenue year-on-year, WM, remittance channels etc etc. All of this takes time and money, which has already been spent and that surely has a value.
One option should they wish to not sell the company at this stage is to go back on their word with regards to applying for the Payments Licence assuming they applied for it in the first place. The recent RNS makes reference to the fact that the decision is delayed but what does delayed actually mean in the context of where the company finds itself now from a financial perspective? I would like to have a clearer update from Chong as to what the exact situation is with regards to the Payments Licence application because if 2.2 million has been ring-fenced then it might be wise at this stage to get that money back and use it to keep us operational in the interim, attempt to build-up some revenue and then reapply for the licence at a later stage when we're in a much calmer place and the rats have all fled.
All we can do is wait to see what the next news is. I don't think we'll go bust. I just think that we need to sort out our accounts, find out what went wrong and why and ensure that everything is nicely up-to-date so that we can be absorbed by another company, or continue as best we can. I favour a sale as you all know for the reasons already mentioned.
