There's nothing I want to see more than the shorters finally getting their asses fried for hanging about!
The question is, will I ever get my 58.5p av back?
I'm confident, regardless of outcome that Rahul and his colleagues are doing their best, and I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be in this mire, if he was at the helm 2 years ago!
It had to go up today - Happy Birthday to me!! :)
However, this is TLW - I will enjoy the moment and not think about tomorrow!!
I'm trying to be, Night Watch, but this year's tested my patience like it has with almost everyone!
I believe most of us here are on the same hymn sheet, and fingers crossed for 2021!
Night Watch
Oil prices have increased, considerably from their lows and it's had virtually no correlation to the share price fluctuation of TLW. You don't need a degree in economics to work that out!
"When it touches 55+ this will take off." Well I hope you're right because I still intend to be around, but it's a pretty bold statement in reflection of what's happened to TLW over the last year!
Indeed, it is a dog of a share to a LTH (though with plenty positives, I believe it shouldn't be), but at my average of 58.5p, I cannot throw the towel in.
With the exception of NMC, it's the most corrupt investment I've ever had, by the fact that it just doesn't follow normal fundamentals that would move the price. I agree that applying maths to work out its true value is meaningless with TLW at the moment, with the level of manipulation going on. Just like with my profession (property), how do you properly value anything at the moment?
Why won't the BOD purchase any more if they're so adament we're going in the right direction? Surely, that would be a positive to the price!
30.0065. C'mon TLW, now over half way to me breaking even!
Plenty of nice buys lately, but when are we going to see the BOD putting their hands in their pockets? That to me, is one of the benchmarks to start moving north again, and that's concerned me for a while!
People posting that Uganda may still fall through just sounds daft at this 11th hour. But on the other hand, why at least would most of this not be factored in the price by now, if nothing other than a timing issue?
What is it that MM's seem to know that we LTH's clearly don't, that those shorters can still party on?
Nursing TLW losses is excruciating! GLA
Surely this has to be a kick in the chucks to all those manipulators/shorters still in come Monday morning!? If so, I hope it's even more painful than what they've contributed to putting us LTH's through this year!
Can you imagine, a nice lift to Brent on oil opening with a certain RNS on money arriving in the account?
Onwards and upwards!!
For sure, this is a big hurdle out the way, but was expected. Just not enough meat on the bone yet to get major momentum, clear out those shorters and convince the markets!
Slight oil dip hasn't helped, but in this environment, it's a decent start with any increase welcome!
I'm looking at minimum spring time before I substantially claw back my current loss, av 58p.
Now 21.90. What an absolute joke this company has become.
We know the world fell off a cliff six months ago, but POO has bounced back almost 100% from its low. Granted, its still low but have a degree of hedging, yet this has lost 90% of its value in 8 months. Even with manipulation levels off the scale, what the hell is actually going on here??
Come on BOD, enough of your stoney silence and start talking to your shareholders!
I have lost so much time and paper loss on this dog of a share, one of the most manipulated I've ever experienced!
I really thought the new guy coming in would be a breath of fresh air, would get rid of the deadwood and spout forth his vision/ideas for moving forward. Instead, with the exception of the trading statement, we don't hear a cheep, and only ever move down with the oil price.
Shareholders just don't deem to matter these days. Total joke!
The most pleasant morning certainly this year, and I'm sure I'm not alone here!
Almost touched 39p. The question is, how long til I get my 58.5p back?
Shorts getting fried makes very enjoyable viewing!! :)

I don't understand how brokers can be taken seriously on putting a target price on companies like TLW these days.
Without explanation, it's just all 'think of a number' BS on one of the most manipulated co's out there, and getting paid for it!
Brent has shifted almost $15 in 5-6 weeks and this share has hardly moved. Total joke and getting really boring now!
There's been plenty of debate on here over the last few months about how TLW tracks to the Brent price. I don't get how anyone can put a short/medium term forecast on this anymore. It just seems manipulated off the chart, considering the oil price has moved up nearly $10 this month, yet the SP has been +/-1p static.
I average 58.5p. I don't expect to see that again for months, but patience already wearing on zero improvement!
Whatever anyone's opinion, TLW will come good in the end for anyone buying at the crazy low levels we've experienced these last few months, that's willing to be patient.
I've been in (occasionally out) for years, and currently average sadly at 58.5p, and my only frustration right now is i've zero cash to average down, as my portfolio's been decimated by covid and massive fraud (NMC)!!
I agree. It's almost like the timing of Covid was immaculate for the consultants involved and the crooks that got us here.
Anyone who invests in anything is taking on a level of risk, but people's lives have been ruined here by fraud on a massive scale from a company belonging to a financial listing that you feel such an extremity wouldn't happen. UK press coverage has been next to non existent for what I consider one of the biggest and quickest falls from grace of a FTSE 100 co.
I still can't understand how the courts allowed the administration while the FCA were supposedly conducting an investigation. It just sums up how weak and irrelevant the authorities are. Absolutely zero protection or regulation.
EY may one day go to court and get slapped with a few mil fine for being asleep at the wheel. What's that to them??
I just hope these fraudsters are eventually rounded up, prosecuted and die of an extremely painful death, which I would consider some consolation and maybe future deterrent! I suspect however that old Shetty & co will live out their days in Indian palacial splendour!!
Quite possibly, Jim
If this doesn't go into the 30's on Tues, I'm gonna be mightily p@ssed off.
Also, come on Dot, we really would like an update on the CEO position and this would be a really appropriate week ( if you've something positive to tell us!). There must be so many biz people that have the right credentials to get this thing kick started and back to where it belongs, granted in an incredibly challenging market!
As for the shorts, its your turn to burn, burn, burn!
cmuriu - that's fair enough and your opinion, but it depends on how you see the day panning out and how desperate you are to sell your shares.
I want to see all investors succeed, but in my position, would personally would rather a raft of good news all came out on a oner!
Come on Dot - why don't u introduce your successor :)
