I am surprised that noone on the board mentioned Richard Hughes' tweet at the weekend stating that the Precision platform is 'nothing short of groundbreaking.'https://x.com/hughesy0707 What an endorsement.

I am sure that Avacta want all shareholders on side. A group work 16% has the biggest holding in the company if I am not wrong. The summary was clear and concise. I am sure that the company are well aware of how many people follow Twitter feeds, so in my opinion it was good communication. We will have to wait until the peer review of the findings so far before we get a possible 'difference of opinion.' I am not sure that a world renowned Oncologist like Dr. Tap would be on board if Avacta were frauds.

Fair play to Alistair and Fiona for agreeing to meet the investors. They have said they want to improve communications and they are certainly doing so. If they are to be believed the 350 shareholders between them own a significant percentage of the company, so it is in the company's interest to meet up with them. I do not think on average holding 130k shares in the company is outlandish. Nothing new came from the meeting that has not already been RNS'd other than, 'continues to shrink.' Should that be RNS'd? That is the question.

I was hoping to hear that the first patient had been selected for AVA2996. Dr Smith said that he was very confident that would happen before the end of the year. Not quite the end of the year, but almost. I wish he would not make promises that are left unfulfilled.

According to the RNS the submission was made in October. The first patient was dosed on 11 August, so they had two months of data from the first patients as well as the pre-clinical paperwork. This is very good news. No wonder Dr. Smith was 'very pleased' during his last presentation.

Interesting report on BBC about the shortage of LFTs in USA. If only we had FDA approval. I wonder what happened to our relationship with Cytiva? They would have been an obvious company to sell our LFT, but clearly there was an issue which has never been fully explained.

Thanks Poirot. Now wouldn't it be fantastic if HUA fell before the exhibition. That would be perfect timing. Much easier to sell a product that has full CE marking for home use, rather than telling potential customers and suppliers that we are awaiting news. Maybe Medusa19 will do some deals for Professional use?

Myles McNulty commented years ago that when Avacta signed the agreement with the team at Tufts it was an incredible coup for such a small company. That could be the best business done in years by a British Biotech.

Hi Bella, all the Coronavirus tests are new or relatively new. It is clear from the FDA that the Innova test was execrable. I detest the hypocrisy of this government who are supposedly so nationalistic and want to 'build back better.' That is a load of old baloney. They have shafted Abingdon Health, Omega Diagnostics and Avacta, three decent British companies who could have flourished with government contracts. Abingdon Health even had to make staff redundant due to the government not paying what they owe. It is shameful behaviour and I would not be surprised if Bell was referring to manufacturing Chineses tests in the UK during his interview on Radio 4 yesterday.

A bit late for Avacta, but there will be a three hour debate in Parliament on Monday about the awarding of Covid contracts. A follow up to the Owen Patterson and Randox corruption case. Hopefully, at some stage the architects of the corrupt practices such as Bethell, Han****, Patterson, Patel, Gove and countless others will be held to account for their criminal actions. Heard the John Bell interview and believe the manufacturer will be ODX. He is another pompous, arrogant fool. His claim that the government set a very high bar for the quality of its tests is disingenuous to say the least when they have been handing out the Innova crap that was blacklisted by the FDA. We know that we have one of the best tests in the world with independent verification and proven against the Delta variant. Yet it has been criminally ignored by the British government and stymied by bureaucracy.

To say that the pandemic is over is quite ridiculous. This is a warning from the WHO.
