The update is for the business to the end of June. Why would Dr Smith include information for the period after 30th June? That is clearly not the purpose of the update. He may touch on updates post 30th June, but I am sure that he will not divulge any figures or data that has occurred over the past few months.

They are probably referring to the ELISA test that was commercialised in March.

The coming soon refers to Affidx for home use. At the moment it is available for professional use and Medusa19 can supply it to the NHS for professional use.

Good work that. If the EU Home use drops soon and US approval the share price would skyrocket. I think Dr Smith was right when he said that testing would be around for 3-5 years. Maybe even longer. In the UK we will soon be entering the cold/flu season and testing will be ramped up. I think we are in a very good position to take advantage of the situation.

Agree. A massive demand for testing in Asia. However, countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines with massive populations are poor. How could Avacta make a profit. My thoughts on this have been RNS already by Avacta saying they would support Mologic LFT for middle income countries. If Avacta could produce 100s of millions of LFTs for said countries and make say 50p profit per LFT they would be on to a massive winner.

Yes saw that. A combination of Affimer and Aptamer used in the detector. Another confirmation of the sensitivity and specificity of the Affimer platform. Yes good news and another royalty to collect.

I find the timing of the business update intriguing. The last investors meeting was only eight weeks ago. What has really happened in the meantime apart from the CE marking? I am sure that a great deal has been going on behind the scenes, but nothing worthy of an RNS. Surely we must have some big news before the meeting otherwise the update will be a rehash of what we already know. Thoughts?

I live in Singapore and have just watched a national presentation by the Prime Minister. Singapore has coped reasonably well with the virus, although there has been a recent surge in the Indian variant. However, his clear message was the importance of rapid antigen tests in the fight to keep the virus under control. He talked about mass testing and certain professions who come into daily contact with people such as physios having a rapid antigen test every day. It is clear that if countries want to keep the virus under control rapid antigen tests will play a massive part in the process. We are fortunate to have the most sensitive antigen test in the world. Let's get that CE mark and begin sales as the demand will be huge.
