Back to basics - Crypto is all very well but what is happening on the ground in Gubong and Kochang to get these abandoned gold mines up and running - or are we going to find that the locals are playing the long game and we see the licenses transferred out of our name? Lets talk about the elephant in the room and why I brought stock years ago when POG was half what it is today.

This marks the largest financial commitment we’ve ever made in the UK. It includes $15 billion in capital expenditures to build out the UK’s cloud and AI infrastructure. This investment will enable us to build the country’s largest supercomputer — with more than 23,000 NVIDIA GPUs — in partnership with Nscale.

Could todays announcement of Microsoft AI investment in the UK and Trumps visit herald the reveal of a join up here? Speculation on my part.

Reinforces my view that Omar taking on GEO (then GBP) was all about selecting a corporate vehicle for Juno. Namibia will be a very 'nice to have' but the main play is and always was Juno in Omar's eyes - imo

It’s a complex subject from what I can glean. Huge advances in technology since the early GGP days and much depends on whether they are fast tracked and whether the company makes an announcement with Photon Assay or Fire Assay

Rio Tinto are gold miners amongst other things. Also do some research into the rock structures of their new licence and whether they could be gold bearing. I think you will find they hold potential. Takes a while to do the research but it’s all there in the public domain- GEOView will help on the rock formations.

Hi Espen - absolutely- I guess Callum might argue he never went into retirement- just a period of extensive, intense research to hopefully be the crowning glory to an amazing career :-)

1. Combatting the unseen cyber threat that will become, if not already, the largest threat that a hostile nation can create

2. Mag 7 involvement- frankly it is immaterial which one in my view

3. Of national security importance and sovereign

4. They say in times of war. Invest in arms manufacturers - suggest gold and silver as well and now we have another category - cyber protection.

Just don’t wait for a war….god forbid

Hi Espen - remember that Juno was Callum’s baby from the start. He acquired the licence in 2022 - long before Omar became directly involved in GEO (formerly GBP). I have made the point perviously that Omar identified GEO as the corporate vehicle to take Juno forward - an established company with the benefit of 2 existing projects. Far easier to do this than all the costs of bringing a new company into existence and trying to raise funds on the market for a new shell.

Back to Juno - Callum was clearly looking for another Haverion or better. Goodness knows how long he has been looking and waiting for his opportunity - I suspect long before the previous licence holder left. I think he has been incredibly patient and waited for the licence to be released and then pounced. Remember that Omar was an early GGP investor and that appears to be the source of the relationship.

I suspect that if we ever get Callum to do another interview in the future on the Juno story, that we will discover he has had his eye on Juno for several years. All that waiting is about to reach a crescendo with the maiden drill results.

AI missed the most important factor Mr Callum Baxter …

RtdEng - probably a result of several factors including keeping the family office / HNWs on board and happy with the price and it never hurts to have cash in hand past the maiden drill campaign - who knows, depending on results Callum might want to extend whilst the crew are on sight.

The speed of the drilling is very much dependent on the rock conditions and therefore there is no simple read across to WSBN. In terms of Juno prep, DDH1 knew that they would potentially be going dow to 1000m and so they will have come prepared.

I was reading with interest the post copied by Spymaster below - looks like either sensationalised journalism at best or not too subtle deramping.

Where anyone can read into this that the oil is no longer a strategy might want to look up what a hydro carbon is....or indeed what investment we have in Africa.

A binary play / moonshot / lottery ticket - again not too subtle choice of words to infer that its a long shot - a very long shot, particularly using the lottery terminology. The article offers no balance or context and fails to point out the scientific pointers and evidence that Callum has been working with, to target the maiden drilling campaign with a high degree of confidence of hitting the anomaly. No reference to the geological rock formations or pathfinder elements that Callum will have studied in past surrounding drill holes.

To say a little misleading would be like inferring the captain of the titanic steered his ship at the berg to replenish the ice for first class drinks...

Now lets get back to facts and I look forward to the first of the maiden hole results. Just a polite reminder - gold exploration is a marathon and not a sprint.
