You are correct - NO ONE is talking about this - not the company or any other chat sites apart from here and TG where I shared the info -the only way you get to find out is by searching the registry and looking

Rio has one other gold interest in Australia - also in WA - its the Winu Copper Gold Project - Rio discovered it in 2017 and so a 30% stake to Sumitomo Metals for US$195M upfront and plus up to US$235.4M in milestone payments. Targeting 10Mtpa with a mine life of up to 41 years.

Clearly they know its a golden future and want another gold / copper interest and they are following the master - Callum.

Their licence boundary joins onto 2 of our licences to the west of our footprint

And just so we are clear - Rio Tinto Exploration is a wholly owned susidiary of Rio Tinto Ltd

Exploration Licence 08/3828 in Western Australia has indeed been applied for by Rio Tinto Exploration Pty Limited. According to a Mineral Titles Noticeboard update, the application was received on 18 August 2025 at 11:34:46. The license is in the name of “RIO TINTO EXPLORATION PTY LIMITED,”

I mentioned it in the thread on Friday - 13.29 - unit then no one had either realised or was mentioning it. There are a couple of savvy posters that have picked up on it in this thread and thats it at the moment - but it really is huge news.

100% Espen - for those on TG I posted why I think Rio brought the adjacent licence in geological terms. They are a $100B plus mcap mining company - an ideal JV partner at some time down the line and they have the deep pockets to make a local processing plant cost look like beer money. I am leaping forward I know, but when one of the largest mining companies in the world starts taking a local interest, you know that you are playing in the right back yard. Its not being talked about that much since I brought attention to it on Friday but just watch down the line - Rio will be on everyone's lips when talking about Juno in my view.

And as I keep reminding- that is just the initial target - there are 7 satellite targets surrounding the main target - potential elephant country!!

Maybe but don’t underestimate what a picture of a smiling Callum beside a core sample can do to sentiment. Love to know how many fellow GGPers now have dual citizenship with GEO - I’m one!

I think it will be a big week - timing could coincide with hitting circa 400 metre and the start of the real discoveries

Hi chuffchuff - worth plotting the GGP curve against milestones- I think you will find the first peak happened some time after first discovery - I was on the journey there and great lessons learned.

I did a lengthy post yesterday morning at 06.08 giving my views.

I missed out a couple of other potential scenarios - one of which I have been thinking about since the news that Rio Tinto have acquired a licence adjacent to ours. For anyone on the TG group I have posted some information on why I think they have, given the geology.

One potential scenario is that DDH1 do a similar deal to that done with GGP - DDH1 agreed to provide drilling services in exchange for shares - the deal was worth circa £0.88M at the time and equated to roughly 10/15% discount to the SP at the time - I have no idea if they held their shares - doubt it but if they had got out at the peak they would have made roughly 400% on the original valuation - so they might well want to think about extending an offer to GEO if we get great results.

The second option is an early JV - the industry will be watching with interest and if there are great results I would be surprised if Omar's phone doesn't start ringing. My gut feel is that it would be far too early to JV simply because the project is in it's infancy and the terms of any JV at this stage would mean giving the majority of the project away for a pittance - Omar has larger plans for GEO than that and it would have to be an incredible early offer to tempt him.

So when people here start to worry about dilution from placings, one of three things - either:

1. They don't understand how exploration mining works and is financed

2. They are in the wrong risk / reward type of investment

3. They need to recalibrate their timelines for rewards and understand the Lassonde curve

4 They are simply traders trying to influence short term sentiment.

Callum has never been one for the spotlight from what I have seen - although that long interview with him a few years ago shows he is an eloquent scientist and of course the Haverion discovery which was his brain child has now gone into investment folklore. He will be going to Juno to see first hand what the core samples are looking like as well as the surrounding licenses. Don't read over that last part quickly - remember we have 7 satellite targets and I'm sure he will be formulating a longer term prioritisation plan.
