I'm hoping a firm statement of commerciality and reasonable flow rates for the HH Kim layers will lead to a subsequent CPR which will indicate the quantum of Alba's recoverable reserves. Good numbers ought to rerate the s/p significantly, IMO. Remember, oil companies are valued more on those than actual flow rates (which can be tweaked and improved upon over time as the tech develops)

You're right CB, daily average volumes are only 1-2m shares, so 76m of buys in short order would have sent the s/p skywards. Oh well, best try and find some funds to average down and offset the dilution.

I'd be very interested to hear the up to date figures for Kalaba as NvS said the two latest finds could be 10x bigger. That should then give us a ballpark estimate of future potential to hang our hats on. I'd be more than happy if the main new zones totalled something like 500m to 1bn tonnes at 0.5% to 1% cu eq. As for the s/p, don't forget we have twice as many shares in circulation as a year or two ago, albeit the dilution was mostly for additional assets.

CB, I heard '$m low to mid double digits' for Casa (18mins onwards) which sounds like anything from $20m to $50m but then Nick from S.A. on the line put a base of $10m on it which NvS appeared to accept a little too readily for my liking. Profitable output from the demo plant by now would have helped discourage low ball offers, IMO.

Sounds like he wants to retain as much control of the top two targets as possible by using funds from divested assets to drill them. Having said that, imagine the top two targets amounting to another Sentinel and together producing say, 200kts+ cu eq a year. Even a 10% free carry with the JV partner meeting all costs would eventually give us 20kts x $6200 or around £100m revenue (and rising as copper demand increases) Stick a p/e of just 10x on that (but perhaps deduct a bit in taxes) and there's your c. £1. Hopefully, if the copper is there it's just a matter of time.

Thanks from me too for the CC update. I was a bit disappointed at the sale price expectations for the two gold assets, particularly since the sums mentioned appear to be much less than what has been spent on developing them, this too at a time when gold prices have been firming steadily recently. Still, it will likely be enough to fully drill the core area of Cheyeza West, which needs to come up to expectations. However, at the rate they seem to be assaying the samples, it's anybody's guess how long several thousand holes will take to evaluate!

why, if it's a common occurence to encounter water downhole, and easy to rectify, why the remedial steps require further planning permission? Unless I am misreading the situation, it appears that fledgeling onshore O&G explorers are regularly hamstrung by onerous bureaucratic obstacles. Putin must be laughing his socks off...

Wrong. Delisted means your shares are illiquid, not worthless. The same as your £500k house is not worthless just because you can't sell it easily in a dead housing market. The value remains but is locked in. Of course there are always spivs around to scare you into accepting pennies in the pound for a quick sale.

If there really are juicy lithium assets in abundance down there as claimed, why aren't foreign EV manufacturers falling over themselves to stump up just a paltry few $m to drill to DFS in return for a chance of securing vital supplies far into the future at moderately reduced prices? Something doesn't add up, IMO.

It's tantalising, there's probably a load of copper down there somewhere but do we have the ability and funds to find it without diluting the shareholders to oblivion?

The company is not worthless, there just isn't a liquid market for the shares. Are all private companies 'worthless'?

Until Jorc'd by an independent competent person, mining assets are (at worst) viewed as 'a hole in the ground with a liar the top' by prospective purchasers and investment institutions. :-)

Westie, its all a matter of whats in the ground. Just what we know we have at Kalaba and with the demo plant ready to start turning it into cash, more or less underpins the current Mcap, even without anything thrown in for Casa or Sturec, IMO. Then start to factor in what may be in the other target zones, 10x or perhaps a total of 20x Kalaba's size from all the zones? Theres your 50p+ but it will take time and a lot of drilling (as well as local and global macro conditions remaining favourable)

fulmar29, as I've mentioned before, at 10kts a month we already have enough ore at Kalaba to last over 100 years, so a 6x upgrade would result in a more acceptable life of mine of sub 20 years, though that's not even factoring in any additional ore found beyond the original16m tonnes. Kalaba may not be the mother lode that the big boys are seeking, but its more than enough to give us a healthy multibag over time, IMO. Its our bread and butter, with the bigger new prospects potentially able to supply the cake, icing, cherry on top and magnum of champagne to wash it all down! ;-)

...which also means such a plant would likely pay for itself in around two years. I'm already dreaming of the post 2020 mining indaba headlines "Zamsort pen a $2bn JV deal to fund Sentinel lookalike mine at Cheyeza West" :-)

Yes there were some plans to upgrade to 90tph mooted earlier, but we have barely got the small demo plant up and running yet. However, the pic of all the important govt reps in attendance and the assured tone gives weight to the content of the article as being trustworthy. As for concentrate % and prices, I lifted this from an article "Prices for domestic copper concentrate (20%) were 82-83% of refined copper prices, and those for copper concentrate (25%) 85% of refined copper prices" Don't know about cobalt though...
