Been seeing a few programmes about humans needing to shift over to eating more insects etc. so you may as well scoff the snails, p00rman.
My tip for papayas is to dig a bowl of sheep manure or similar around each plant - the micronutrients add nicely to the flavour. We had a field full a few years back (dwarf Thai variety) but they didnt get watered properly when I was away in the UK, so they struggled. A lot of what was left got stolen by locals. I sometimes saw them running up the road with a big grin on their face and a couple of papayas stuffed up their shirt.
