I guess it depends on how much they have to dilute to raise cash or how much of the company they have to sign away for a buy in? Offtake agreements would help but it's unlikely they would deliver much of the considerable capex costs required. Small grants and easy loans help for the early milestones but bug bucks will be required for the main processing plant and the mine. Small miners are doing well if they retain 20%-30% once a rich partner looks to buy in (in my amateur opinion)

I'm glad the US still seems intent to support and fast track graphite mining and battery production despite Trump's love of fossil fuels. It should help spur the EU to continue to do likewise.

It looks like Titan Graphite and Graphite One in Alaska could together supply all of the current US requirements (40ktpa + 60ktpa respectively) I guess the accessibility would be easier than the expected European supply from Amitsoq, though the US graphite grades (2.91% and 7% respectively) are far inferior to those at Amitsoq (20%+)

I always thought the unspoken deal was that USA enjoyed the 'exorbitant privilege' of much of international trade being carried out in USD, particularly oil. For that the trading countries have to first buy USD thus propping up the demand for them and allowing $ interest rates to remain lower than they otherwise would be. In return the US would be an ally (military or otherwise) to those countries. The US always prickled when countries mooted trading blocs using currencies other than the $US. I'm not sure if things have changed these days as the US seems to be withdrawing military support (at least to Europe) and Trump also seems to be a supporter of digital currencies which would seem to be in competition with fiat $US?

Strange times with Donny in power. Following the antics with Venezuelan oil transport and supposed drug boats, one starts to wonder if he is just bluffing about taking over Greenland by force if necessary or he's really ready to do it? What would Europe do if US soldiers invaded Greenland?

What if the US offered $1trillion to buy it? Say $1m (and perhaps the option of dual US citizenship for the 50,000 Greenland inhabitants?) Maybe a chunk of that would find its way into buying out Greenroc? Though I have read that the US is primarily concerned about the security benefits of owning Greenland and Trump has retreated from clean energy in favour of continuing the drill baby drill scenario.

Interesting times with Trump at the helm, you can always expect the unexpected.

I'm a little surprised no one has approached Greenroc to farm in at Amitsoq and scope out the whole district to see how much graphite is in the area. We may have far more graphite than we need so I would have thought some end users would want to secure future supplys.

I was just paraphrasing articles I'd heard on two different news channels. They failed to mention it was only a 10% reduction in the petrol/diesel quota, so I assumed the EU was reverting to a US style unlimited production of ICE vehicles.

This will surely slow down interest and investment in the European EV industry.

'Spike' implies reaching unmerited and unsustainable levels. Most of us would argue that we are vastly undervalued and deserve to be trading in a higher range.

The mine seemed to be progressing steadily until focus suddenly shifted away into seeking out far flung ventures in Tanzania, Australia, Sweden and now REs in Greenland. All these new ventures were considered at a time when we had little in the way of funds. It therefore looked suspiciously like attention was being diverted away from the mine for whatever reason. Add in a couple of personnel leaving and the whole Welsh gold venture looked like it had been a wild goose chase. I've lost trust in GF and I'm not sure that will ever be regained. I find Stefan on the other hand as always being open, honest and competent.

That's probably about right considering the money they've raised over the years to get us absolutely nowhere, with probably more cash calls to come.

Trump seems to have gone quiet on Greenland lately. Pity he's not throwing big bucks at mineral assets there, otherwise we may be sitting at a much higher Mcap by now.

If the RE prospect is so good how come a stony broke nano cap like Alba managed to grab it for peanuts?
