I had hoped their Groc holdings would have pulled them out of the doo doo by now but that seems to be dragging its feet despite the obvious need to shift to EVs and battery storage in the face of fossil fuel supply disruptions. It's a pity that the slow moving EU seems to be our main backers in this venture as they are hamstrung by having to reach common concensus on important issues (and with defence capabilities being a more important priority in current circumstances)

I'm hoping Trump's latest misadventure in the ME will curtail future military ambitions and perhaps even see him impeached. How a reasonably intelligent population can vote in such a narcissistic screwball as 'leader of the 'free world' is beyond me.

IMO there was nothing that justified the 5% drop in s/p following the video of the pilot plant's arrival, a seemingly very positive event. Today's rise represents what I believe we should have expected straight after that video. Who knows what goes through the minds of MMs?

If the photo is a recent one of McKinght he looks to be fresh out of college. One wonders if he has enough experience in the legal matters pertaining to the partnership? A lack thereof may explain the insinuations regarding the Alba directors, which didn't sound very professional. One would hope GF's legal background would stand him in good stead in this dispute (assuming he has operated in good faith himself)

Divermike. I'm all for balanced views, no venture in life is without its pitfalls, drawbacks and caveats. What I am suspicious of are unremittingly positive or for that matter, overwhelmingly negative viewpoints. Certainly most here will be nursing hefty losses, maybe the haters have already been stung for half their life savings by investing here so have a perfect right to whinge? Maybe the cheerleaders feel they are heading the same way but are just in denial? I'm somewhere in the middle, I don't feel we have been well run at all and have been kept in the dark but I still hope something RE related may yet come good to bale us all out. (Bale or bail?)

Might be feasable but didn't he say a modular unit on a truck can process 1.5 Kts a year? Gonna need quite a bit bigger dry processing plant for our expected output. Whatever method fits us best I have full faith in Stefan to choose the right path to production.

Stefan very kindly took time out to answer my query on the investor hub about the dry graphite separation process -

"Just watched the video - what he is talking about is a dry process which is claimed to replace the flotation process. It is not a purification process to get to the high-purity spherical graphite (>99.95% graphite). I think the process could work ok on very large flakes, but will do a pretty poor job on finer flakes. There is no mentioning of the percentage recovery, I suspect it will be very low compared to flotation. The thing is that being a hydrophobic mineral, graphite reacts very well to the flotation process - I don't see why to change from a well proven and low-cost process system such as flotation. Btw - the costs mentioned per tonne of graphite using flotation (did he say up to US$2,000) is grossly exaggerated. Best regards Stefan"

I too am wary of unwavering positivity in the face of obvious failure to deliver shareholder value while gold goes to the moon. e.g. How many Spurs season ticket holders are still cheering those running things while they are currently flirting with relegation? If so what happy pills are they on?

Canada alone appears to have several graphite projects coming on stream in the next couple of years with possibly enough to meet global demand. I daresay it will result in lower raw graphite prices, so an integrated processing chain to end battery ready product like our own will probably be the only way to maintain profitability.

He seems confident that the technology will vastly reduce graphite processing costs but also says there is a huge high grade graphite deposit (13%-15%) in Quebec that can potentially supply more than enough graphite for the world. I wonder what Stephan makes of these claims?

I switched a lot of funds from Alba to Groc a couple of years ago, at first because Greenland seemed much more amenable to mining than the Welsh govt. Since then my confidence in Stefan has only grown while I have lost a lot of faith in George. Still no gold to speak of while the spot price goes to the moon. He doesn't come across as having shareholder interests aligned with his own. However, he may (unintentionally) benefit us on the back of what may prove to be an inspired purchase of the RE licences in Greenland.

This is also good, lower purification costs = better profit margins

I wouldn't be surprised if graphite were to be on that list.

Not particularly big holdings, I'm sure some of us hold more than some of those guys.

Having said that, the historical average grade was stated as 17gms/tonne, with a total of around 80,000ozs officially found over the years. Hopefully future quartz veins will contain the same or more, and the longer we go without finding much, the nearer we may be to hitting those bonanza grade pockets (rather like the old London buses, none for 45 mins then three turn up together!) measuring in the kilos per tonne. All we need is for the company to survive until we hit them :-)
