George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Yes, come on Elon, just £50m (30p/share) and you can have the lot :-)
"Attracting the capital needed to advance copper, cobalt, nickel and lithium projects in Africa will be high on the agenda when executives, bankers and government officials gather in Cape Town, South Africa, for the annual African Mining Indaba beginning on Monday"

Well, this isn't where I thought we'd be following the signing off of the AA deal. Share price continually drifting and someone offloading 1m shares daily. It doesn't inspire optimism...
Steady progress, so I'm still bemused as to why our s/p has been drifting down lately. I'm slightly uneasy that we have to turn to China for the processing plant design and construction since they are the main global competitors to the West in the graphite processing market. I guess they do have the most experience and can generally deliver projects on time and at reasonable cost?
One reason that Alba spun off GROC as an independent entity was so that Alba wouldn't have to fund all the future development costs of GROC. IMO Alba will have their hands full with Clogau now that dewatering has been allowed.
No, Groc isn't invested in Alba...
Thanks for the link, Size of Acorns. I'm bemused at the continual fall in the s/p as we seem to be woefully undervalued right now.
Any link to a recording of the Master Investor webinar on 18th January?
Judging by the s/p reaction following the EV event, Stefan must have failed to inspire potential investors. Maybe just the opposite?
Mining companies (and also oil/gas producers) sometimes spread the risk of large ventures by partnering with other large well funded companies. So allowing Arcm/Kopara to be bought out by another big miner may not necessarily be seen as a negative by AA, IMO.
It's a pity we don't have any lithium....
Another poke in the eye. A further £75k placing at mate's rates...
Current Mcap of only £6.2m. All being well it should be 10-20x that when we get into production. IMO
Argh, my eyesight's playing up. I'm seeing blue instead of red :-)
Yes Bluejay found that the Dundas project is not currently economical. I hope Amitsoq is more viable for us.
That's a chunky drop with a lot more trades than usual, though only one large sell. Leaked news of a poor PSA or MMs fishing for cheap shares? Let's hope it's the latter.
no need for dumb shorter comments on a sp****ly populated bb like this. plenty of reasons voiced at that amsterdam conference as to why the graphite prices are at all time lows, natural graphite producers are under the radar, slow to develop and lagging behind chinese synthetic producers.
High bond yields shouldn't be positive for gold prices per se. Gold pays no interest so it's more profitable to hold bonds. It's probably the reason why bond yields have continued to rise - and that is persistent inflation, which is underpinning the rise in gold too.
Yes, Donkey is by far the worst hypocrite
