High bond yields shouldn't be positive for gold prices per se. Gold pays no interest so it's more profitable to hold bonds. It's probably the reason why bond yields have continued to rise - and that is persistent inflation, which is underpinning the rise in gold too.

Until then we await the outcome of negotiations between them and the Zambian mining ministry. No need for derampers like Donkey to continually attack Nick von Schirnding personally since the delays have been nothing whatsoever to do with him.

It's obvious that a shareholder would be hopeful and upbeat about the company otherwise why buy in? If they're a shareholder with some doubts about the running of the company they'd voice an occasional opinion and then zip it. Only a trader would turn up regularly to persistently diss a company. Most long term holders here have voiced a negative opinion from time to time but they don't bang on about it like the obvious traders.

It's completely obvious that the obsessive doubters here are traders simply trying to shave a few % points off their buy in price. They have no qualms about ruthlessly talking weak holders into parting with their shares. To be balanced there may also be traders here talking the share up to sell at the best possible price but I suspect they are far fewer in number.

Who would admit to having a substantial holding them proceed to talk the share down? Only a complete sado masochist I would think. There was a group of SMs who used to nail their todgers to the table for gratification. Perhaps you'd fit in nicely there Takenorisk?

I was always doubtful whether the local authorities would be keen to encourage the restarting of mining in this area of N Wales. They show willing by allowing exploration in the area but then forever drag their feet on minor issues. If this was a girl I was hoping to hook up with I think I would have long since got the message that (she's a bit coy about telling me to my face but) it's never going to happen mate.

Donkey, the whole premise that NvS is incapable of bringing home the bacon was disproved back in April when the JV was signed with AA. Any delay since then will have been due to the Zambian government reorganising the mining system and/or thrashing out an equitable taxation regime that will benefit the populace as much as the mining companies. Your continued ad hominem attacks against NvS are nearly as irrelevant as you are....

Well I don't that mind he informally let slip a little info. He will be keen to send out positive vibes to the populace that things are moving forward on the mining front after months of seemingly glacial progress. I think the only ones squealing will be the derampers and those on the wrong side of the trade. Things have been in their favour for months but now it looks like the tide has finally turned :-)

Guys. You can thank me for the turnaround. For the very first time in about 5-6 years I sold a few shares last week to add to another interesting share I'm in. I knew of course that this would spark a rise here but was prepared to take one for the team. :-)

More likely they will have to be very careful not to get done for defamation of character, IMO. There have been constant insinuations by DonkeyOatey of wrong doing by NvS. I expect Nick is well aware of the muck being spread about him on this BB.

I had planned to buy a lot more with the proceeds of another share sale but as mentioned, bureaucratic delays have wrecked that particular strategy.

Mine was the 48,167 a minute before yours. "Great minds think alike" I'm hoping we'll rerate into double figures on firm news of partner interest. Too many oppressive and restrictive jurisdictions squeeze the life out of fledgling companies with their hurdles and bureaucratic delays. Greenland appears to be more of a help than a hindrance.
