Agreed, Robbie. I never trusted crypto but I do wish I had bought more gold at £320/oz back in 2007 instead of spaffing half my life savings on dumb AIM shares. :-(

I don't mind if Alba buy more of Greenroc but at the moment we have more than enough non performing assets without adding any more. Let's monetise some of what we already have before spaffing any more cash on new ventures.

I do get the feeling that the Greenland authorities may be far more interested in turning their mineral assets into local jobs, taxes and wealth than the Welsh authorities are.

I would hope a prior sale, JV or offtake agreements would boost the s/p. If exploration results continue to impress, something should transpire well before production begins.

Putin's strategy is obvious - hold a fake referendum which will purport to show the majority of residents of Russian held Ukrainian territory want to be part of Russia. Thereafter that will be the new Russian border and anyone attacking it will be deemed to be attacking the whole of Russia and will invite the terrible consequences hinted at by Putin in his latest speech. Most likely chemical weapons as due to prevailing winds tactical nuclear weapons may only spread radioactive fallout onto Russian territory.

I don't know why some are worried that if we let Putin do what he wants he will overrun Eastern Europe. He is already struggling against Ukraine who are only getting limited help from outside. One Russian boot crossing a Nato ally border will bring a whole lot more pain his way. I don't think he's dumb enough to try. And by the way, I don't see the current conflict as totally black and white. I'm sure the Ukrainians aren't all angels either...

AFAIK, issuing RNSs is covered by paying an annual fee (I think I read it was in the £15k to £25k range) after which you can issue as many as you like at no extra cost.

It's really annoying that the water companies have allegedly dumped raw sewage into rivers and the sea near beaches an estimated 400,000 times and we are being held up for wanting to pump out moderate amounts of clear mine water (that any suspended particles have probably long since been sedimented out of)

What a disappointment HH has been. I remember back in the heady days of it supposedly holding 100bn barrels of free flowing oil, one or two broker notes were pencilling in 4p a share for Alba just for our share of that resource. I think some broker notes mentioned a possibility of 7p to 14p for the Alba s/p if all our assets were to perform as hoped. I guess it's mostly bureaucracy and environmental concerns that have got in the way. There does need to be oversight but things move at such a snails pace that it can cripple companies.

Russia's economy is only the size of Italy's, it will be bled dry by sanctions and getting bogged down for ever more in Ukraine who has limitless clandestine support from the west. Dumb move by the Russian regime, their people deserve better. Imperialist expansion is so 'last millenium' look at GB relinquishing control of its former colonies in a friendly manner.
