At say 0.6% copper that equates to 6m tonnes of copper

At currently $9700/tonne that's $58.2bn worth...

.... but it's still in the ground so you can only attribute a few % of that value depending on many variables like grade, depth, jurisdiction etc...

So let's say 3% x $58.2bn = $1.746bn of which we would own c. 20%

So around $349m or £277m, or around 10-11x our current Mcap

To sum up my very very ballpark figures, I'd guesstimate that the discovery of each average sized tier 1 copper deposit would therefore add 20p to the s/p.

Yes it crossed my mind that Anglo would do well to crack on and produce some promising cores as the buyout negotiations develop.

Google "Anglo American shares surge after BHP proposes £31.1bn takeover to create copper mining giant – business live" for the Guardian's take on the possible deal.

"Anglo’s exposure to copper compared to other listed miners is core area of BHP’s focus, as it looks to benefit from the material as the energy transition gathers pace."

They want to divest iron and platinum assets and concentrate on copper. So we should remain central to their future strategy.

Yes the additional testing was mentioned in January 2023 and was supposed to last 6-8 weeks. Then the August RNS said results by autumn 2023, but nothing mentioned since then. I guess it's more important to keep Amitsoq moving along, so I'm happy to leave other projects on the back burner for now.

Yes developing a mineral resource is usually a snails pace undertaking. At least we have normally glacial bureaucracy on our side helping instead of hindering. All being well I'd hope the s/p to rerate incrementally as each stage of development is reached. IMO what should be obvious is that we are currently undervalued at these present levels.

This has flown under the radar up till now. Mcap of only around £3m with potential assets into the £billions, and the US and Europe gagging to secure non-Chinese strategic mineral supplies. A no brainer...

A quick scan through the Bluejay BB suggests they may not be very cash rich, but don't quote me on that.

It seems that Bluejay want to reverse their decision to shelve the Dundas project as the last drill campaign wasn't conducted properly and threw up erroneous results. This ought to add a little value back to Greenroc's ilmenite asset and also allows us to learn somewhat from Bluejay's drilling campaign mistakes.

A nice show of support and interest from the US though I had expected the Europeans to be at the front of the queue. No matter, let the early bird catch the worm. ;-)
