"Zambia’s current mining policies misguided, claims ex-Commerce Minister, Sichinga"

The mining ministry is clearly under scrutiny from many quarters to ensure it cuts a good deal with multinational miners. As the press briefing last week emphasised, they will take their time to arrive at a deal that protects the interest of Zambians. Hence the delay..
Interesting article. Nowhere near enough copper coming down the pipeline....

"....analysis indicating the top 11 miners are sitting on $53 billion of cash and cash equivalents — the highest level in a decade."
Come on AA, take a punt and bung us £300m-£500m and you can have the lot. :-)
Nice move up with steady buying...
My best guess is that the glacial speed of the new Zambian administration (who have every right to protect the interests of the Zambian people, but have taken on a huge task in revamping the whole mining sector) has played into the hands of AA and they are behind the concerted effort to drive the s/p down and perhaps make a lowball offer. Having said that, you'd think cash rich AA could have contracted a much better class of deramper than the unimaginative clowns we currently have frequenting the BB.
Why say it once when 50 times will do? Please change the record, we've all heard your opinion on NvS umpteen times before. You may even be right about his incompetence but there's a good chance that this will come good very soon despite his alleged shortcomings. I think anyone who has taken note of your criticism may soon regret having given your repeated blatherings any credence.
Donkey should have called himself Sid Snake. Far more appropriate...
Yes, I'd already deliberated whether it may be best to filter those remaining posters with obvious agendas. But then that leaves them unopposed and free to negatively influence would be investors.
So you've done your research and decided it's not worth risking investing in any NvS run company. Fair enough, but why mention your own personal decision multiples times here? Wouldn't once be enough and then move on and do something more productive with your time? Don't you think that repeatedly spouting the same negative opinion quickly highlights you as having an ulterior motive? Apologies if you are in fact an older person who has short term memory problems and soon forgets what they have already said to whom.
So having dodged this bullet you are prepared to give up several hours of your precious time every day at no benefit whatsoever to your good self, to warn investors against buying in? We need to put your name forward to King Charles to recognise your selfless service to investing humanity in the next honours list. Kneel Donkey!
As for a cheap buyout, it would have to be something into double figures. Even a £150m-£200m valuation for our licenses which may potentially hold 1 or more Tier 1 mines would be peanuts for AA but would get us into a double figures s/p.
We'll probably never quite know what kind of entity we are dealing with. Hopefully we'll soon see the back of them all, the narcissistic Donkey especially. I kinda miss China Blue, at least he tried to inject a bit of humour into his wafflings.
@f29 - being hetero myself, 'Woman' was the first thing that sprung to mind. No doubt Peggy him/her/itself self identifies somewhere further down the 50+ list of personal pronouns. That's fine and acceptable these days. It can't be easy for non binaries
Sorry Donkey, couldn't be @rsed wading through any of your monotonous 9:58 guff. It's clearly your day job and you probably get paid per word. If so, that post alone may keep you away from the food bank for a day or two.
Buy us out for roughly the price of the promised drilling costs? How cheap are you? Is your Idea of a fancy meal out with your woman a Pot Noodle followed by a Creme Egg for dessert?
So if you have zero belief in Arcm then why hang around here like a fart in a lift? Why not naff orf and invest elsewhere instead?
To any potential new investors thinking of buying in, please do not be too swayed by the team of negative influencers posting prolifically on here. There is obviously an ongoing concerted effort to beat the s/p down for whatever nefarious reason. The company valuation is currently at rock bottom and could potentially multibag once the deal is ratified and that could be soon.
Nobody asked who is behind the falling share price. I asked who is behind the team of persistent doubters constantly knocking the company and its BoD.
Why are you here repeating the same old messages, if not to purposely deter new readers to this BB from investing?
I find the persistent concerted efforts of the uninvested doubters here a little suspicious. I seem to remember a few years ago someone said AA were not above dubious methods to grab assets on the cheap. Delays, concerted efforts to talk down the s/p....who is behind it all and why?
The psychology of your third person grammar - 'they' not 'we' strongly suggests you're not invested here. I agree about rampers but real rampers tend not to hang around for years touting a share. Those that do so are likely to be genuinely optimistic long term holders (though possibly mistaken, misguided, misled, naive) who have every right to call out the dodgy doomsters like yourself and others displaying obvious intent to undermine confidence in the share for their own ultimate gain.
