Once it became obvious the Singida and no-hedging strategies were going to be huge successes, they could all smell a big payday. That is, after all, what they are all in it for. Once these executives get the smell of that big payday in their nostrils, their true colours come out and it is like the Hunger Games until the buyout.
I worked for a small, successful AIM-listed company that eventually got bought out by a big fish. The last couple of years were a massive carve-up between the major shareholders and the executives in the in-crowd. It was a cat-fight in the executive, anyone that got in the way was out, bought off. That is all we are witnessing here.
