Project Start of the Neptun V Electrolyzer from ITM for Guttroff

It is with great pleasure that we announce the official project start of the electrolyzer already ordered for the Guttroff site in Dettelbach. Managing directors Tobias Guttroff and Dennis Schulz met in a friendly atmosphere at our technology center in Würzburg.

We are pleased to announce that work on green hydrogen is now entering the next important phase.

The Neptun V is a 5-megawatt containerized electrolyzer plant that offers highly efficient hydrogen production capacity.

T’s a clear signal of ITM’s involvement in major EU green hydrogen initiatives. Not to mention, these early contracts often open doors for future, more substantial opportunities. I think I’ve been around long enough to know what a FEED is. We’ve already seen several of those, followed by FIDs. Thanks for the insight for those who don't, but I’m well aware of the process!

You’re spot on, Laurie. I’d be mortified if I were up at midnight telling people not to invest in ITM because the EU might turn to China, only for ITM to announce a 50 MW contract with the EU just seven hours later. At this point, he can either keep pushing that nonsense or take a step back and reassess, haha.

I can see it continuing to rise today, but the real gains will come once we get those trading updates with upgraded targets.

Wakey wakey, Ricky! Still harping on about China, even after today’s RNS? That’s an EU green hydrogen plant using ITM for 50 MW—let that sink in. And have you even read the EU’s targets? They’ve got it in law: no more than 20% of electrolyzer supply can come from China. Meanwhile, Europe’s focused on building its own capacity, and ITM’s right in the mix. Honestly, it’s hilarious you’re still stuck on this. Move on, mate! Embarrassing yourself.

JZ and Ricky are making absolute fools of themselves—or rather, himself, since it’s clearly the same person. The timing of that tantrum last night and the competitor list, hahaha.

Sorry, 650mw by 2028.

The 50MW project in the EU is all but confirmed, the 100MW with Shell is locked in, and next up is the 500MW FID. That’s 550MW by 2028, with 150MW running by 2027. Plus, there’s the 200MW RWE project and any new deals to come—things are really scaling fast.

Can I ask why you've not mentioned RWE?

RWE (with a £21 billion market cap) who has chosen ITM Power to supply 50% of their electrolyzers to date.

What about Shell? The company with over 100 billion mcap, and chose ITM for their biggest to date (100mw)

Why not bring up Linde as well? After all, they own 20% of ITM Power.

You're aware that ITM Power has a stronger cash balance than Nel, right?

The share price isn’t any lower than it was on Tuesday, mate. Sentiment in the hydrogen sector is clearly shifting—do you even understand what that means? Yes, the share price might lag behind for now, but it’s obvious things are changing. A 100MW FID was signed this week, plus planning permission granted for RWE’s hydrogen plant in Wales. Ask the derampers—why haven’t we seen this level of activity before? Isn’t this a clear sign of where things are heading? Clueless.

To summarise the positive developments over the past few days—despite JZ/Ricky’s apparent attempts to drown it out: RWE has gained planning permission for their hydrogen plant in Wales; BP has made an FID for their 100MW project in Lingen; and Dennis Schulz confirmed today that we are Guttroff’s partner (the company that acquired the Neptune V) with plans for further investment as early as January 2025. And this is just the past two days. No doubt this post will send JZ into a meltdown, haha.

Wow, it’s almost impressive how you can turn any positive news into a negative. H2 from China? Sure, why not? Let’s ignore the fact that the whole industry is growing and ITM is leading the tech. And yes, 40p next week—obviously! Keep up the good work, champ.

The funding will be used to support 1.8gw across the globe, wow this is excellent news!

The European Commission has granted state-aid approval to a €3bn ($3.12bn) German-Dutch H2Global scheme to purchase green hydrogen (or its derivatives) from non-EU countries at auction and sell it on to buyers in Germany and the Netherlands.
