RE: Takeover21 Dec 2024 13:12
For a takeover valuation, prices should be based on industry comparisons, using revenue multiples or PE ratios from similar companies in the sector, not just wild guesses Ricky.
We’ve got 100MW for Shell (finishing 2026, £86M),
50MW feed (if FID is approved, £43M in 2027),
500MW (waiting on FID, £430M on books in 2028).
Total revenue comes to £559M.
But remember, the revenue only shows up on our books once these projects are completed. So, the share price right now doesn’t reflect these signed deals—only when we start seeing the revenue hit.
If we’re talking about future earnings, with a 30% profit margin and 20x PE ratio, that’s a market cap of £3.36 billion, meaning the share price could go to £3.36. Even with a conservative 5x revenue multiple, we’re still looking at £2.80 a share. So yeah, 50p? Not happening.
