Natwest results today show big increase in profit and DIvi and a share buy back the SP goes down. So when ITV announce the same big increase in revenue /profit and Divi thier SP will also go down. ?

Silchester must have bought the full 5% iether from another holder or bought the 5% in the open market within a few days or weeks and being held by a broker until they were ready to announce it.

If they had already bought enough to hit 3% before hand then they would have had to announce that as that's the level which has to be announced by any holder. Rules etc.

I think the silence from the bod's says it all to investors like silchester, they can do want they want and keep buying a bigger stake the BOD's don't really care and at this SP I guess they will. So expect another holding soon to 10% and maybe want a bit of control on the board.

Why wouldn't they keep buying at below 60p if it's worth £1+, it's only a question of time.

JPMorgan cuts ITV price target to 105 (106) pence - 'overweight' so still almost 100% to make from here.

OK so as yet no bid but a good holding stake that's been built up behind ITV backs, So have they bought out some of some other shareholders stakes or all from the open market.

But all the time the SP is at these levels and under 50% of it's true value it's not surprising there will be people /companies taking / buying a chunck of shares ready to make that killing.

As they say ther SP will find it's own level in time and the BOD's will find themselves out of a job if they don't react with some good plans to improve things within the next few months.Well that's my view and I think this will/could only be the start for a few more to take advantage. Come on BOD's get your act together.

Good morning all, first let's just say that this fund must have been building a stake through some unknown broker for weeks/months so it wouldn't come to light until they were ready to announce it.

Second , yes the rules say they should announce / issue an RNS anything above 3% and it should come maybe today but I guess this has cault the ITV BOD's on the wrong foot.

Third, for all those that keep saying no one is ever going to bid for ITV this could be the start, I think any shareholder with 7% + can ask for a seat on the Board but that could be rejected by the Board.

Anyway interesting times as this is just what has been needed to kick the BOD's up the **** to get things moving. £1+ coming soon.

If that's correct then we can understand why ITV has been held down for so long, and if it's true there must be others that know ITV is well undervalued and on it's way back to £1.

So if you are all agreed that the only thing holding this down is the Dame and when she goes the SP will rocket , then might as well buy more now while it's low as it's a G/Tee to reach a £1 at some point when she's gone in 6 months or 2 years.

Sorry but I think you shorters have had your day and made a bit and should know when to get out, because when this turns you guys /girls will lose big time. £1 coming after results and a 4p Divi. I can wait for that.

But I guess we have to ask the question why hasn't the bod's/ITV put out this press up-date for it's shareholders,after all we need such stuff asap but I guess they are waiting to put it in the results to boost them.

Anyway great news and maybe this ITVX is starting work more and we will get some pay back in terms of profit and SP rise.

Maybe this will make you feel better and confirm your money is safe in ITV

When the results come out it will be interesting to see just how many people have signed up for the premium service and paying £5-£6 a month.

Good morning tom, it seems to me and maybe many others that your post have got a lot worse as the SP has gone down.

Now that may be right but surely by continuing to put these sort of words in print about the Dame without any proof could make you liable for say slander etc and I think you may have just realised that.

I would be careful what you say even though they are only your words

So don't keep telling us, tell someone else in the press/media etc.

Why not at the same time put out a price target of 30p I guess that will make you feel even better.

I have always worked on the principle that if you cannot change things npo matter what you do or say stop worrying about it.

If you now think ITV is going bust then sell up and give it a rest.

Many will agree with most of the comments on here but you are wasting your time keep posting rants like these on this posr board where no one in ITV cares.

If you want to have more impact then send all these rants to the press / media / ITV board and hope that helps.

Yes good morning tom, as you said I will be on next.

But not to have a go , just to say I hope you feel a little better for that rant which by the way will do nothing but wind you up even more.

It is what it is so just relax and do something else with your time until the situation changes or sell up and try another stock you can shout at to make you feel better. It's all a bit sad to keep wasting your time and words that do nothing do you think.

Robs60 I have to agree, many of these other streamers are now starting to charge for things to boost their income and look at more attractive incomes like studios and consolidation . ITV have it all all and the more the SP goes down the more it becomes a sitting duck for takeover, and we must be looking at £1.25+ as aminimum takeout price this year it's just a question of time.

The shorts are what 1.75%, there are many other companies with shorts in the 5-10% and without the Divi of about 5p per year so nothing to worry about. and 80p coming soon.

This should start to build now with results coming in about 4.5 weeks and many will want to get on board for the Divi.

Yes I feel the same, with some 50,000 + here I am looking forward to a nice divi at 3.3p+ then a slow build back up, with luck.

Good afternoon, In all honesty many on here will agree 100% with most of that rant, but it's a complete waste of time to keep posting that information on here as it will do nothing to force her move no matter what we feel.

We all know that big companies like ITV don't give a fig what small shareholders say or do on boards like this, or the day to day or month to month SP as they get their money and bonuses regardless. Until the rest of the BOD's make a move the CEO stays. So if you feel that bad you can either sell up and move on or do like many of us are doing which is to sit tight untill things get better. It's a tough life and doesn't get any better with more rants. Sorry to say that but that's life.
