Hopefully a good 4/5 weeks to the end of April, anyway. Of course, SEPCO3’s ‘option’ on a buy in runs to the end of March, so we may be in for a surprise, yet, who knows.

Is the most important thing on the table IMHO. If we get this up and running all here will be okay. It’s the key now IMHO. April is only 7 days away, they must be frightfully close to getting the PPA / CPA closed out, possibly with the lawyers trashing out the T&C’s.

To get the confidence of a larger miner (for the sake of an example, say a Vale) and the Moz Government so quickly I think it’s fair to say that SEPCO3 are putting a lot of weight behind this project and giving what assurances are needed on funding as no one would go near this project without a Contractor and Funder on board. We could even be in a position where they surprise us and take up their stake in Kibo (which would be great for us).

If they have completed the DFS then IMHO they already know what mine the Coal is coming from. The DFS will need to know absolute specifics of the Coal it is burning otherwise it's not a DFS. JD

Kind of day. I thought today’s News was fantastic. Really bullish and the business case for 300Mw might even be lifted with a mixture of Base Load Coal and some Renewables bolted on. Moz really appears to be a country getting its act together hauling in big investment to boot. I had to ruin that by going to a pub at 3pm while working in Aberdeen to watch my team getting humiliated in a Russian Enclave. Oh well. Only football. #kibo JD

Has to be spot on. A government needs to know that the Contractor Equity and Funders involved have the financial backing to ensure if / when the project hits technical issues that the parties have deep enough pockets to finish the project. Why you need a SEPCO3 size or similar on board. JD

I meant to add, the JDA seems a big deal / sticking point in their current negotiations that I am sure they will work through. I’m hoping that our SEPCO3 tie up mitigates some of the issues they have faced. JD

SGB, I think the first thing to say is it’s bullish for both if they are seen as progressing quickly. They have grand plans for their coal and power generation in Moz and I think both projects should be seen as constituent parts to that overall plan. JD

Seems incredibly open for business right now. I would hazard a guess that they need Moz Sign Off on an private PPAs too. Hence the April meeting. JD

Everything from SA’s dire position to Moz raising the electricity tariff rate recently screams out that the South African Power Pool (SAPP) is crying out for new reliable baseload and serious investment. Now come on LC, your salvation awaits…..
