Thanks for posting, bullish for us. Backs up LC’s strategy to move into the UK Natural Gas ‘Peaker’ Market. OFGEM estimate the UK will need 1Mw for every 8Mw of renewables generated in the UK. Multi Billion Pound future market in the UK as we move away from baseload to renewables.

Spot on Wimbo, I think LC will see this through to a very good conclusion for us PI’s. He’s not perfect by any stretch and there are well known flaws in his armour, especially around PR (we all know that). But he is as an honest CEO as you will find on AIM, the same ‘detractors’ will be signing his praises if and / or when he brings in a tangible commercial agreements (hopefully not long now). AIM sentiment can turn on a dime.

Gillie, Without SEPCO being the ‘glue’ that holds the entire Benga project together I wouldn’t imagine it would go very far. Assuming this is going as fast as the RNS suggests, then it must be SEPCO3 (Power China) who is putting their full weight behind it as the Moz Government or Million Tonne coal operations aren’t really interested in Kibo, let’s be honest about that. BTW considering NCCL’s SP. If we get full PPA and CPA in April, expect fireworks. JD

Beyond Benga, however, I think if we can drive Benga IPP to FC with GE and SEPCO3 I think this would do wonders with MCPP in Tanzania, I really believe if we can show a demonstrable success in Moz with our business plan then the Business Case in Tanzania and with the GoT gets a whole lot stronger IMHO.

Speaking with my ‘head’ on this I would say ‘Extension’ is the most likely IMHO.

SEPCO3 seem dead set on making sure Kibo is seriously de-risked to a point where the investment make sense to them. If and or when Moz can get the required agreement(s) is place I think SEPCO3 buy in will happen and at a decent price.
