Musk and the Bitcoin madness are the exact reason why JN was right to get away from pure Bitcoin plays. It only takes a tweet or a Reddit style scenario to send it crashing as quickly as it flies. It’s just too volatile.
This isn’t a company for JN to do a bit of day trading. It’s an investment company.

Robotics - someone may want to correct me here but Molotov had originally signed an agreement with the parameters group for their test.
My thinking on this is that Affimers are the best out there and Mologic want a piece of the Affimer pie. Give up some of your capacity to produce a test using the Aptamers to replace it with a superior Affimer.

This page updated today and includes saliva (although lower priority) which explains & confirms the U turn to AN.
Sample type
DHSC will no longer validate lateral flow devices that only allow for a nasopharyngeal specimen collection method. Instead, the instructions for use (IFU) for the lateral flow device must contain a specimen collection method that allows for one or more of the following sample types:

anterior nares
mid-turbinate
oropharyngeal
saliva
This list is written in priority order: lateral flow devices submitted with a specimen collection method higher up on the list will be prioritised for validation.

I'd agree with that Larsh 100% but when the govt have something on their doorstep for months of a quality that supersedes the rubbish they were more than happy to put resource behind prior makes no sense to me. It's not as if they don't know what they want/need - Dildo Harding has made it clear testing is high on the agenda. Christ we even switched to AN for them (most likely), I have no idea what CONDOR are actually up to.

Sadly and bizarrely this share has been priced solely on LFT news despite a raft of incredibly promising news being released during what some called "the deafening silence". It does just show the one track mind of a good few Covid herd investors.

What has also been a headwind here in my view is the constant media barrage of vaccines being the silver bullet which the govt have done nothing but fuel. I think Boris' roadmap out of lockdown speech could be a turning point in sentiment for testing. For us who research this day in day out, we know it is going to be required for years and has to be part of the govts exit plan.
Once the general public are made aware this is the case - the bigger picture becomes clear.

Let's hope by March the LFT unknowns become knowns, AVCT's name becomes widespread and finally the incredible IP we have gets it's time in the spotlight. Then we can truly rerate to price in all the very exciting avenues AVCT has ahead!

I agree oxygen. Really does sound like it has been hurdle after hurdle for AS! He was always confident in the parts AVCT were actually able to produce independently (hence the initial optimism and having Affimers produced in quick time)....think he's done a sterling job of navigating those hurdles and this RNS today put a lot of questions straight.
Think a few of his critics and doubters will owe him an apology and a beer or two if this comes to fruition in March (or before as I suspect).

It also ties in with the Bruker BAMS RNS sleepydave, in that we have had to get them to help with the clinical validation on that side too.

I agree there Darkspartan. The mention of going global and it’s is now clear we are not solely in the hands of the UK govt to fulfil ASs “we will sell every test we can make comment” is great news.

Avct had to raise £40m in the open market to expand at the rate required. Yet the govt spent £500m on eat out to help out. How about spending that on funding R&D.
The criticism is so wrongly directed from so many on this bb. It’s later than we all hoped (for the SP and getting out of this lockdown) but if it was that easy, Avct would have been left behind while company after company produce tests.
That’s far from the case....some mistakes along the way, yes, but they’ve been held up by moving goalposts third parties and general incompetence

TT - spot on, you only have to listen to the brr media interview GH did post the Scally results. He was very happy those drills gave them the info required to take the next step in the right direction in finding the true mineralisation.
We were a bit spoiled with HAV and the quality of those first drills. That’s now the expectation of many, which as you say, is not sustainable.
It’s an exploration company....

Wolves the comparison to Innova is pointless. It’s not just people here that year into it - it’s been widely criticised by professionals.
They have made good money capitalising on the Del Boy back of a van middle man approach. Good on them but once that last order runs out - they are done. No more and their reputation is done.
UK £22bn / US $50bn being pumped into testing. Lord knows what that number is globally.
I’d rather have a recurring slice of that pie and a reputation in tact (not sure if you’ve forgotten but Avct isn’t about LFTs - it’s about Affimers which have more than one use case.
If we had produced a crap test, wave goodbye to future non COViD related licensing deals when the affimer reputation is shot.
Yes the wait is frustrating but I am 100% convinced it will be worth it.
