Blyvoor is getting beyond a joke now. Surely SAMVAL final version has been delivered which was imperative to progressing the financing. 9 weeks later still nothing. Chris LC doesn't do anything with any urgency!

Haneti you would expect something soon given it's 2 months since first batch of smaples went to the lab and a month since the remainder went.
· First two batches of samples from the RAB drilling at Mwaka Hill have been prepared and the first sample batch will be dispatched to SGS Tanzania, an accredited laboratory, for assay testing as soon as the accompanying QA/QC standards are received on site (expected week commencing 11 January 2021).

A PD assessment (which actually sounds like a farce anyway) won’t cut it

I think AS simply wants his products evaluating properly regardless of who it is by. If PD are using artificial samples and that is what was used to validate Innova, doesn’t send a great message out there and puts Avct in that same category.
I wonder if he is actually the one calling the shots on how his test is dealt with, hence the delays.

I agree. Think AS is just sick of Porton Down and their ineptitude.
The Bruker RNS read the same to me regarding BAMS. “If you can’t get your ar*e in gear to evaluate our products quickly or properly then we’ll do it elsewhere”
Let’s hope more of the tests get sold privately at higher margins then!

Had to clear up it was saliva not AN evaluated at Porton Down. Then the part about samples being artificial basically says you can’t apply the S&S numbers from the last RNS but they are good.

Nothing to worry about here - govt have it on their desks. It’s their news to release really.

You only have to look at what the SP after Gerard revealed his magical “inhaler style breath test” that he failed to tell anyone prior to the big reveal it needed a motherboard sized device to read the chip that was in the inhaler.
Hardly portable, practical or for sure affordable for the masses....!

1. Zero evidence how long the vaccine is effective for....until they have that evidence testing is going to be required.
2. Plenty of Covidiots and anti vaxxers / ethnic minorities who fear the vaccine / some who cant have it. What are you goign to do, say no vaccine you're not coming out of lockdown?

4. There is a world outside of the UK where a vaccine rollout will take a lot longer. How many in the US don't have health insurance - no vaccine! Developing and third world countries wont have an efficient NHS jabbing at lightning speed and people there rely on manual work to survive.

Not to mention, testing is much much bigger than Covid19 now. Just look at the impact of this pandemic that we were warned of but incredibly underprepared for. The world now needs a framework to be able to deal with future viruses and avoid another travesty like this one. Covid19 is going to put testing at the front for dealing with this in the future.
Get the product correct - all you need is an Affimer to slot in for whatever virus (e.g Ebola/Ecoli) which can be made in quick time.

Hurst - The DHSC have commented on the article and discussed various elements of it, at no point have they denied it is AVCT. Can’t see how you would provide comment on that and not be very clear it’s not Avct if it wasn’t true.

I know a few teacher friends have said they were being told about possible training in testing the kids. So I would think each school / workplace / stadium / club etc will just have someone who's been on a half day course and is the a "peofessional".
Bit like every venues has a first aider.

But saliva is still being worked on and looking promising which is still with Porton Down?

Fully explains the switch to AN now - which is as we expected really wasn't up to govt requirements (for whatever reason).

Here is what Paraytec have on their site about the BRH "test". Shoebox size portable reader stands out as the part that means it has a completely different use case to AVCT's tests. Not going to be shipping those readers to OECD countries!

It also uses Aptamers - so can't be as good ;P

Saw one chap the other day DTW saying "what's the point in testing people if they have no symptoms. Its just another way for the govt to test healthy people with inaccurate tests to give false positives and lock us all down."
